The creek of Creek Street in Ketchikan, Alaska

Barn Swallow

More from Glacier. View of mountains from our boat ride on Lake McDonald..

We hiked about 6 miles in the rain yesterday. Avalanche Creek on Trail of Cedars.

Avalanche Lake. Lens was wet and it was foggy. But a beautiful spot. You can see multiple waterfalls coming down into the lake.

Sea Village waterfront in San Diego, CA:

All lovely pictures above, as always.

Now for something not so lovely looking, but like it or not this is a useful member of our world. The common house centipede, also found outside, where they eat spiders, bedbugs, raoches and many other pests in house and garden. This one even posed for me. Normally when discovered, they are gone in a flash.

With it's extra long antenna, it ought to be able to bring in a lot of tv channels!

We toured past the lighted Eiffel Tower after dark and saw the moon through the opening in the the structure. The lower string of lights are reflections or other lighting.

In Rotterdam, in The Netherlands

Several cubes on end

Each of them is a separate apartment

You go up stairs in the base

and inside there are four floor of oddly shaped rooms

living room

kitchen

bedroom

and the top of the cube is a triangular room with windows

When we went on vacation I took a picture of this cool thing:)

Bob, now that is really weird housing. I can't comprehend living in a place like that, and why would anyone design and build them? I guess like anything else out of the ordinary, they do it just because they can.

Minjeeah- I like the picture of your dog, it has a vintage feel to it. Where was the vacation photo taken? It looks very nice :)

@Sabbath7
We went to Tennessee and hiked and then Saturday we went to sightsee a little before we had to come home!;).

@Sabbath7
Here are some more pictures

Just a zebra. Testing posting pictures, pale Moon browser works, others do not suddenly.

Love the pics today. :) See even the zebra knows that stripes, vertical and horizontal, are very flattering!

@Oklamoni
Where did you capture that picture?

Minjeeah- I love Tennessee! My daughter lives there. We lived there many years ago! The people are so friendly.

Yes, yeonassky, but isn't the zebra making a fashion faux pas by combining vertical and horizontal stripes? ;-)

@sabbath7
We loved it there! We did think that we would see stuff (you know) but all we saw were lots and lots of trees!!!
It was great tho we loved the 5 day week we took to go to Tennessee and hike and just enjoy it!;). We were going to go to the smoky mountains up there but they had a fire up there and we didn't want to go in the trails that got burned so we just went to another place where we could home and do fun stuff:).

Hike not home

Raven, hope you solve your browser issue.
