Pinkeye Purple Hull Peas....or maybe not?

ghsides

I planted a row of pinkeye purple hull peas and they began blooming and setting fruit a couple days ago. The thing is, the pods forming are purple already, and it is my understanding they are green until they ripen to purple, right? I have never grown them personally, so I don't really know. Here is a picture of new pods on the plants. What do y'all think? Normal or maybe variety was mixed up at seed store and they are something else?
