anybody had a bathtub refinished in Portland, OR?

Hi everyone,

My husband and I just bought our first house (yay!) and we want to get the tub refinished. As far as we can tell, it's a cast iron tub (not clawfoot) that was probably installed in the 1950s. The finish is wearing and peeling in a couple places, with the largest peeled spot being about 3" long. Has anyone used any of the refinishing companies in Portland? We'd love to hear your experiences, good and bad. Thanks!

With the finish "peeling" already. The tub has no doubt been refinished already. A factory finish will not peel.

If you do find someone to refinish it again. You will probably get the curb warranty. Which means as soon as they get to the curb, the warranty is out.

I wouldn't even think about having it done. Not what you wanted to hear I'm sure. You're better off putting your money away until you can replace the tub in your new home.
