Few questions-new home
Comments (10)Great set of photos! Veggies require sun for a good chunk of the day to do well, so your first job will be to see how much sun the area gets during the season you will be growing veggies. If you google parterre garden you will get some nice images of how beds can be set up to look pleasing, and this type of raised bed is well suited to gardening in my zone, though I am not sure about zone 10. Tower Hill Botanic Garden has an attractive veggie garden that uses repeated structures (tripods, tomatoes supports, etc.) in consistent materials, as well as thought to how the colors and shapes of the plants look together. Avoid the french drain. You don't want to do anything to disrupt its function. Assuming it gets enough sun, you could put one terraced or raised bed across the middle of the slope and grow something large like squash, pumpkins, or indeterminate tomatoes there without have to worry about them shading or overwhelming the other plants. Or you could plant perennials crops such as rhubarb, asparagus or small fruiting trees or shrubs. Just don't plant on the slope as is since water will just run off, and don't plant near your retaining wall since you don't want to disrupt its integrity....See MoreNew pictures of the greenhouse thing

Comments (2)a bigger picture would really help .... but you already ID'd the problem ... it occurred right after a cold snap ... if i can focus properly ... it appears to be frost damage .... frost damage can take weeks to 'appear' .. weeks after the actual frost ... early damage on roses MAY also indicate fertilization too early in the season .... which causes early tender growth which is all the more susceptible to such damage ... you have awful long canes .... they can be cut down to about 6 inches... if you wanted .... so the damage is not all that important ./.. when the danger of frost is gone... just trim back the long canes.. and you will be on your way .... there is a rose forum .... i am sure they can help you there.. and correct me if i am wrong... i gave up on roses a decade ago .... ken...See MoreHabanero plant sick or what? Comments (7)I have a 1 1/2 year old Scotch Bonnet plant which showed the same symptoms as your Habanero plant. What really jumpstarted my plant was simply adding bone meal to the soil @ about 18g/plant. A week later and the leaves were not only bigger and less curled, but also much healthier looking plant which grew a foot in no time. When they curl up it can be an indication of lack of nutrition. Also, make sure you let the soil dry out in-between watering. Get a small paint brush and hand pollinate your buds when they open morning to mid day. Some will fall off others will turn into nice peppers. Good Luck!...See Moreorganic_kitten
