Pruning a too tall fiddle leaf fig

jjdoucet

This is my fiddle leaf. It's grown tremendously in the last two years. It was lower than the back of this chair. And now is grazing the ceiling. I used to bring it outside in the summer but this year it is too too large for me to carry out. But this corner seems to keep it quite happy. It's a north and east corner sunroom. When I first got the tree, we lived in a different house and the lighting was awful. I nearly killed it with improper watering and poor soil. It's ironically recorded in my then baby's monthly pictures.
I pruned it back two years ago because it lost all but three leaves, and the resulting growth is the tree I have now. But I'm unfamiliar with maintenance pruning. And am nervous about doing it incorrectly and messing up the tree. Any suggestions?

My other question, is in regards to the lower leaves being so small. Is that normal? Others seems to have leaves all the same size.
