oh yes I have known of Delicious for years, use it on occasion to look for stuff, I do not put mine on it however. I use xmarks which does create a webpage for me with all of my bookmarks on it so that I can access my bookmarks from any pc anywhere by logging on to my xmarks page, plus it makes it very easy to set up a new pc with all my bookmarks by simply putting the xmarks add on in the browser and it takes care of everything else. It is also now available for IE too. The page xmarks sets up however is totally private and you log into it with a user name and password. I too much prefer to keep all of my bookmarks private. I don't understand what you mean, I use firefox and all of my bookmarks are set up in folders. I created the folders then any time I want to save a bookmark I select the folder to save it to. My xmarks is saved the exact same way of course since it just clones it. I do not have any "loose" bookmarks everything is in a labeled folder specific to that selection. Some of the various folders would be: forums, mail, music, purchases, security, linux, windows, games, recipes, etc. In those I save any bookmarked page that is relevant to that category. I also use the tags and keywords in firefox when I bookmark a site so that if I need to do a search for it in my bookmarks I just go to organize bookmarks and then do a search for that tag or keyword to bring up related sites. My Ie faves are also set up in folders but I rarely use it.

I believe I had IE, but not sure which version. Now, I am not sure WHAT one is up! Right now there are 3 searches running- there are 3 'file card tabs' at the top of the page. Two of them have a small red/green/blue/yellow flag icon, the third has the 'Gardenweb' icon- the page that I am on now. Walnut.. I did not download anything that I am aware of.. If I move my curser to the top nothing happens- there is a 'wrench' on the far right, but when I click on it, it opens a list that has 'Google Chrome' near the bottom, yet the icon on the far left of the page (this page), is the 'Yahoo' icon. I don't even have a way to open my 'favorites' now. Did IE7 have favorites/back/forward arrows, file/edit/view/tools/help in the upper left hand corner?? I am wondering if I am in 'Google Chrome' or IE9 by some chance? How do I check which browser I am set to go to auto? Tx

To find a program (Explorer, Control panel etc) if you know the name simply start typing it while on the start page. All potential titles will appear in the top left side. click your choice. Take your mouse right into the lower right corner for a flyout with settings and devices. Click the Settings icon for Control panel. While there click Settings then click Change PC settings and a page with a whole raft of options appears allowing you to stop some of the garbage from running. Click on each title on the left side to view your choices. If you are in a program and want to see the start page simply go to the top left corner. The start page icons can be moved or removed as you want. Simply drag to the left all the lesser use ones then sort the ones you like into the order of your preference. To remove an icon right click and use the choices that appear on the bottom taskbar.
