Me too. Random attack hairs on my face. I do shave but except for my few dark hairs that sprout up my hair is soft and fuzzy on my upper lip and chin line so don't notice any excess lengthening. It grows very fast though. :(

I bought a cheap facial razor at Marshal's. I like it! It has two widths. I don't have to do it too often though. I also like to get off the white peach fuzz that is only visible when you are outdoors. I notice it on others, so I try to be diligent.

You can get it threaded. But for me, that hurts too much. I am okay with my eyebrows.

Waxing rips off the skin, I no longer to it.

I either pluck the hairs or I use DH's nose/ear trimmer. He used it to trim an ear hair once then put it away never to be used again. I like it because it's a micro trimmer and I can target the areas.

Sometimes DH will do 'whisker patrol' on me-he'll go over my face with a bright light and pluck the hairs I can never see. He always tells me I have such nice skin, so I don't mind him grooming me. :)

My friend had laser hair removal, so that's my plan if/when needed. I think she maybe did 2 or 3 treatments and that's it - no more hair.

I may look into the laser hair removal. Did she experience any scarring?

I shave with the tinkle blade dry when hairs crop up on my face and about once a week while showering I run my leg razor over my lower face and neck. it takes about 30 seconds.

I just turned 60 and have noticed peach fuzz! Eek! I'm blond so it's not too bad, but still. What should I do about it? As happened with my mom, my blond leg hair hardly grows anymore so I get away with not shaving for a long time. So why did it migrate to my face?!?

I have too much chin hair to pluck, so I shave it every night while I'm in the tub and also in the morning before I put my makeup on. I also shave the mustache every once in a while.

Scarring? Oh gosh no! I think she said she had some mild redness. Come to think of it, my MIL had the laser removal done on her upper lip. No problems and I think it's been permanent (so far) for both of them.

I asked about my upper lip when I had my freckled hands lasered (very successfully). I was told mine isn't dark enough for the treatment to be noticeably effective. That laser clinic was in an MD's clinic, and run by his RN wife. I may ask at my dermatologists, see if they have a different laser that may work for me.

For now, I bleach, not wanting to have risked irritation by tweezing or shaving. It looks dark enough to me to be improved by bleaching.

Sally Hanson wax strips are very easy to use. My hairdresser gave me a tip to cut them in half lengthwise so the strip doesn't run too high up on your face. The strip is basically a strong piece of tape. Adhere to area and rip it off the opposite direction. I use it at night because I am very fair and reddens my face a bit. Any drug store will carry this product. It will be located in the hair removal area.

No way would I dare shave my face! An ex-co-worker did & she had serious 5 o'clock shadow every day! My hair is very light blonde, so it may not be as noticable but I really just wouldn't dare!

As far as the wax strips, I have used them but it takes days for the redness to go away and they are awkward to use IMO.

I shave the peach fuzz off my face about every three weeks, no hairs yet.

I get my lip hair removed about every 3 months. My salon uses what they call sugar wax or I believe some people call it egyptian wax. It is different from most waxes that go on warm and then ripped off.

This is a ball of wax that she holds in her hand and just blots around the hairs and pulls them off. I believe it works much better

I'm reviving this thread because I still haven't done anything about the peach fuzz and hesitate to. Yeah, I'm a 60-yr-old wimp. My question is, how far up my face to remove? I mean, I even have a wee bit on my nose, but not so much under my eyes. I'm just nervous about doing it. I don't think it's noticeable unless you're really close up, and I need to peer into the mirror to really see where it tapers off.

Bpathome, I was agonizing over mine as well. After hearing my complaints one too many times, DD told me that I should stay away from mirrors and she's right.

I only think about it in the morning as I put on my makeup. Since I don't have my glasses on I'm right up close to the mirror to do my eye pencil, and that's when I see it. Maybe I'll just forego the eye pencil lol!

Same here! No one scrutinizes us as much as we do ourselves.

I started using the tinkle blade a few weeks ago for peach fuzz in front of my ear's, and between my eyebrows. Here's an article on shaving.

I pluck with the idea that then I won't have overall stubble, just random stubble. But it is such a pain! And heaven forbid I miss a couple of days! And there are some hairs I can't seem to latch on to with the tweezers. I really hate this! I can't do any type of waxing, I break out and it is very red and lasts for days.

I have used the Olay facial product that is basically like Nair (and smells just as bad). No skin irritation or breakout, and it’s very effective. I don’t have any wiry individual hairs, just a combo of some peach fuzz and upper lip fur.

In a pinch, I’ve also grabbed DH’s razor when he’s not looking.

I shave my whole face. No more peach fuzz.
