bloodyfrancois--thank you for the lovely pic. I have Cherry Parfait on my spring order list. You reminded me why I want it so badly. One question: I thought it was mainly red and white, but I see yellow in your pic. Is yours always red and yellow? Either way will work fine for the spot I selected. Just curious about the color blend. Kate

Well, jont1, I have two Double Delights because they can have more gorgeous blooms, and because of the fragrance. But for me CP is a much prettier plant...the leaves hide the thorns, it's big but mannerly, dense and covered with blooms, and just the right height for me to look down on a plant full of blooms. DD is more upright, and has much fewer blooms. But worth two in my yard, one grafted, one I'm trying on its own roots. I think rosebud in ATlanta posted a truly magnificent pic of DD once. Must agree that the individual blooms on it are superior. CP blooms can look a little harsh but I think I caught it in a softer moment with my picture. Linda

Let's talk about some definitions here. Both Grandiflora and Floribunda have to do with the blossoms, not the overall size of the plant. Floribunda - "many flowers" - Multiple blooms per stem. They bloom in "sprays" or bunches. Cherry Parfait doesn't do that. It is a hybrid tea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Floribunda_(rose) Grandiflora - "Large flowers" - Having really large tea rose blooms. I've seen Cherry Parfait classified as Grandiflora but it's blossoms aren't as large as most of the other roses I've seen in that category. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garden_roses#Grandiflora It should be possible to both a Floribunda and a Grandiflora; though I don't think it happens often in roses that make it to registry. Both large flowers and many flowers are really expensive, and a plant that had sprays of enormous buds would spend too much energy on their blooms that they'd likely be rather susceptible to just about anything else. Though I could be wrong. Typically I've seen them max out at about 3x3. That said, I did have one that got really happy, and bloomed into bush that was 5x4 or so.
