Regarding the "Pepperwood Place Craftsman With In-law Suite House Plan 1443" -- The jack-and-jill bathroom shared by bedrooms #2 and #3 doesn't have a window. I pity the poor kid in bedroom #2 when the kid in #3 has a stomach or intestinal virus and is up all night with vomiting and diarrhea, repeatedly flushing the toilet. And it's quite a haul from the kitchen to the pantry when you're cooking and need something from the pantry.

Wow some real hate on for this plan lol never built it but I personally like laundry n bathroom away from people sitting around. I have a powder room awkward right by couch lol. Only little kids n elderly use it everyone else uses upstairs bathroom. As for laundry i have one in basement n survived raising 2 kids 2 flights if stairs is a workout Op I think the home has a old vibe I like. The tavern for me would be a library with coffer ceilings I liked master on one level kids on another when school age. I didn’t in preschool ages. Some things to consider. If u both like it then that’s a plus U 2 will go head to head on budget n wants. U will be stressed n b*tchy by the time your build is finished. So go with the plan if u like it. If its a compromise for both of u n its not a love for either go have custom plan drawn up. Good luck
