I'm sure there are experts who know how to propagate each succulent in its ideal way, but for many of them, especially branchy ones like yours, it is effective to cut them down fairly low, and then after a few day's rest, move them into a high sunlight position, and they will burst forth in a compact mass. The cuttings of most succulents root pretty easily in soil. But if anybody here knows more specifically about that particular species, they may have better advice than mine.
