Powdered laundry detergent for front load washer
Comments (11)I use it myself. Love it and recommend it to friends. I'm on a well that has lots of dissolved minerals in the water. (Tastes almost like a European mineral water to drink it w/o filtering.) Seems to handle our well water fine and clothes haven't gotten dingy like some of our neighbors complain about from the minerals. I don't use chlorine bleach and seldom use oxyclean (only if there are stains on whites). FYI... Costco recently (end of last year) changed the size of the Kirkland HE box. Going against the trend for downsizing, they added 40 more loads to box and kept the price the same. Now THAT's value. As for the odor, it's never bothered me. Hint, open the box and leave the top open for a day. Use white vinegar as your fabric softener and you'll have just the right scent. I also use the new Kirkland environmentally friendly HE liquid. Comments (44)Pesky1, you bring up an excellent point on saving money. Sometimes it's just plain best to go with what works best regardless of the price. Trying other stuff can be expensive and frustrating. I don't have issues with laundry so for me I go with the cheapest. I have real issues with people buying the specialized brands for 50¢-$1.50 per load and trying to tell me it's cheaper than store brands! My clothes are clean, don't smell and I'm wearing jeans from 15 years ago. All this from cheap detergent and in a 26 year old top loader that those on the laundry forum want to call "clothes shredders"! LOL Just goes to show that sometimes people get a little exaggerated in their claims and defense of what they like. Back to what I was saying. I gave up on buying "bargain brand" dish soap. Simply because Dawn & Joy do the best job for me, at a reasonable price. I've also had to throw away too much of the other stuff I tried with the intention of saving money. Again, sometimes the better stuff is the better buy. Happy bargaining everyone!...See Moreall Stainlifter Powder "he" Detergent
Comments (31)I'm just glad I don't think like the two of you. My husband is not only too arthritic to go downstairs to the basement, but he also has low vision. Sooooo, I bring in all my compulsions, like laundry detergent, succulents and cacti that I just happened to pick up from Home Depot or Lowes, and the newest and greatest dog food for my current guinea-pig-of-a-dog. They all make it to the basement one way or another before I get in the back door so nobody has to fret about how much money the little woman has spent on unnecessary items. Today I bought another bird feeder and hubs will never see it from where he sits. And I'll be happy that my birds are happy. And hubs will be happy because when the wife is happy, everybody is happy. Comments (7)I have never tried Biz. I know years ago, late 80's or early 90's my cousin used to do some weird Biz + Ammonia and something else and she would soak white t-shirts in a bucket to 100% remove deodorant and underarm yellowing. She also swore by Biz, adding it to every load of clothes, towels and sheets. I read that Biz is great for odors and actually deep cleaning fibers, not masking! I teach Group Fitness (high intensity, high cardio) 4-6x a week...and I love the idea of adding something to my workout clothes to really deep clean and freshen. The Biz website lists all kinds of uses! Maybe it is my new Miracle product!! OF COURSE I have like 200 Tide Boost Sport and Tide Boost w/Bleach pods too!! and now Biz!! LOL...See MoreSEA SEA
