Comments (57)How inspired are you mirendajean? We are not allowed to import large plants from Britain anymore, but we can get cuttings. There are many varieties that we love to get cuttings from if you'd like to consider an exchange program. As our European branch you could send us cuttings that we are searching for and we'd be happy to help you out. All you really need is a friend to work with you. It might seem like a small effort at first, but even if you can help save one plant from extinction, you are making an important contribution. Kathy is a great help to us and while we really want to know what plants rosarians in the US are looking for, please let us know if you have cuttings of a variety that you think is rare. Working with Chris in Columbus, we were able to get plants of Conrad Hilton, Miss Hillcrest, Texan and Magic Moon. I am working on getting more plants of Ralph Moore's 'Most Unusual Day', which seems to have disappeared from commerce. At the moment we have been desperately searching for Sunrise-Sunset (Herb Swim's not Ping Lim's). Let me know if anyone can provide cuttings. Comments (51)This is the closest thing I could find to a physical address: "Mac Arthur County Park - Precinct #3 1611 NE Loop 410 Facility Reservation Information Mac Arthur Park is located in Northeast San Antonio on Loop 410 West between Harry Wurzbach and Nacogdoches" The park is on the north side of 410. When I just now typed 'macarthur park san antonio texas' into google maps I got a map with a listing of things named after Gen. MacArthur. The first listing 'A' is the park. It fronts on 410 East and is bounded on the back by Chisholm Trail. Sounds like you will be coming from the east and heading west. I think you would take the Starcrest exit (might be able to go one more, but I am sure Starcrest exit will get you on the access road in plenty of time), stay on the access road and you will see it on your right. It is easily visible from the access road. If taking the Starcrest exit you will go down a dip and see the entrance to Los Patios. Just keep going and the next thing you will see is MacArthur Park. Comments (52)Hi Maddie~ Glad you checked in, but what a bad situation. Take care--and MOVE out of there. If the cops suspect a meth lab, they likely would have cleared the building immediately. Meth labs are extrememly toxic and smell like cat urine and chemicals---you can tell if there is a meth lab operating. The smell is really (chemically) OUT OF THIS WORLD. Along with the smell, meth labs generate an emormous amount of garbage---bottles and bags of chemicals, used tubing, and LOTS of small boxes of cold medicines. Are their windows covered 24/7? Can you check with the landlord to see if they pay rent in cash only? Are there visitors all night? If you and your neighbors really believe there is a meth lab operation, you should get license plate numbers of their visitors, call the police, and then MOVE OUT. If that place is a meth lab, you will be forced to move anyway! If law enforcement busts a lab, they evacuate the building until the haz-mat process is over and the apartment is cleaned, inspected, and repainted. It's a LONG and expensive process. They might just be smoking and selling crack, which is really as bad and dangerous for the residents of the building, due to the rise in crime associated with crack use, and the acrid odors and weird people you have to deal with.
