Zero Radius Undermount Sink for a 30 inch sink base
Comments (3)Did you take a look at JULIEN yet? I have an incredibly small 24 inch sink base cab ... and we cut away some of the interior to cram a 21" zero radius Julien sink into it. (our sink is the Julien - 3607 - 'UrbanEdge' 21" x 16") Maybe they have one bigger that you can fit into your 30" sink base. Take a look at this link: http://www.sinksexpress.com/JULIEN-UrbanEdge-Single-Bowl-Sinks/ They have a 24" which you could probably fit into the 30" base... or a 27" that you could fit if you shave away some of the interior of the cabinet. Good luck! It's a pricey sink but it's realllly nice....See MoreIkea 24" Base Kitchen Cabinet Undermount Sink Questions
Comments (5)I hope it's ok to ask a related question here. I have seen Joseph's replies to other posts recommending the HUSH solution, but I don't know enough to be able to explain to my contractor why this can work. I, too, have a 24" IKEA Sektion cabinet and want to install the longest undermount sink possible. Based on what I've read about HUSH, I thought I could select a Kohler undermount with basin length = 22.25". But my contractor said that the flange is still 24" and asked if the flange sits on top of the cabinet and, if so, how that impacts the countertop. I'd be grateful if you can point me in the right direction Joseph! FYI, here is the sink: https://www.build.com/kohler-k-5286-kitchen-sink/s867441?uid=2217519#specifications...See MoreDW outlet and under-mount sink
Comments (6)I disagree with Joseph. A 30" cabinet is not 30" inside. A so-called 30" sink indeed need close to 30" to mount. It may not fit. Fortunately, Melody has a 27" sink, not a 30" one. It should fit no problem in her cabinet. If by "dishwasher outlet" you're talking about the receptacle for the dishwasher, as long as the plug will fit into it and you can reach it, it should be OK. If the plug itself is the disconnect, it's required to be visible to the guy working on the dishwasher, but a unplugged-plug is going to be pretty easy to see even if the receptacle itself isn't. The other thing to consider (since this was in the plumbing in addition to the electrical forum) is to make sure whatever disposal/tailpiece you're using will meet up with the drain line from the dishwasher....See MoreWhite Undermount Kitchen Sink: Blanco Diamond v. Kraus Bellucci
Comments (6)@Lauren Fazio we ended up with the Elkay Bellucci, which was a tad of a surpise when it arrived as we had ordered site unseen. Given that it's a granite composite there are some darker flecks and although white, it's not a bright white. The manufacture ended up replacing the first one due to the number of dark spots. Elkay was very helpful and responsive. The positive reveal with the ledge is more of catch all than we antiicapted in this house of 2. When reading the reviews about coffee, tomatoes, etc. we figured that wouldn't necessary apply to us- we don't keep things in the sink and rinse it down imemediately. Not the case. It does come clean with a magic eraser sponge and some elbow grease. We have the bottom rack and remove it a few times a week for good scrub. 5 months in we've had no issues with scratches or other surface damages. Initially we did use the drying rack and cutting board features. We've reduced using them, but can envision them being used when counter space is needed in the future....See Morenovakel
