NY, Do you know how to harden off plants? They need to be outside as soon as you can swing the babysitting on hardening them off...a little at a time, no full sun right away, protect from torrential downpours and spray if you have rabbits! You leave them out a couple hours on a decent day and gradually increase the time they are out, as well as worsening weather. Things like poppies, bachelor buttons, flax, pansies, and veggies like lettuce, kale & broccoli all need to be outside because they enjoy the wacky spring weather (fall weather, too) After 1-2 weeks, they can easily take frosts. After 2 weeks they can take probably down to 22 degrees (I am saying this because it got that cold on my bachelor buttons and flax and they were both fine after having been started indoors under lights. I forgot to protect from torrential rain and they slumped over from the sheer force of the rain and wind, but are now standing erect.) Lime

It's warm enough to harden them off outside now without a greenhouse. The key thing is not to expose them to full sun for more than an hour or so the first few days. They will cook, much like people sunburn if they hit the beach for hours after no full sun exposure. Baby them, as it sounds like you have. Gradual exposure is key. These cloudy days may be a pain to us gardeners, but it's actually ideal for acclimating plants to the outdoors. There is also less transplant shock to the plants when we place them in the garden with cooler temps and not a lot of sun. Hope you have much success!

Yes, I was the person who sent seeds to him but the seeds were sent to me by Barry Comdon of Hollywood CA, where they were successfully grown by him and also the woman he got the seeds from. And I know that others in warm areas of the country have grow it successfully as well. So if I were you I wouldn't be all that worried about it, not that that's going to stop you from worrying. LOL BTW, when I got the seeds, unnamed, from Barry, I asked him to name it, he said he'd let the woman who gave him the seeds name it, and it was she who named it Sophie's Choice.Many folks have asked me about that name, so that's why I'm mentioning it now. Does the tute mention if you write it to dvd you can have a file 4gb but if you write it to cd in needs to be 650 mb. You size large zips to fit the media or to make it a comfortable sized file to upload or download. Plus sometimes email rules come into effect. I split a windows 8.1.1 DVD up into 8 chunks to upload a copy. Server upload size rules. If you're working with a large already zipped file.. you should unpack it before zipping it into chunks.
