Agri-Fos, Root Rot (Phytophthora) and container citrus?

This is a question for some of the more experienced citrus growers on this forum. I have read a fair amount about the application of phosphites (agri-fos being the only commonly available one I have found) and its role in both treating and preventing infection by phytophthora foot / root rot. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the literature and anecdotal evidence I've found is specifically addressing in-ground citrus. Does anyone know:
1. Can agri-fos be safely given to container citrus as a root drench?
2. Is agri-fos available for uptake by container-grown plants and is it effective at controlling / preventing phytophthora infection?
3. Do application instructions differ at all for container plants compared to in-ground citrus?
If this is a product that we can safely be giving to our trees preventatively then we might be able to reduce losses due to root rot, foot rot, and gummosis. I hope someone knows more!
