I also have bought from the same vendor on EBAY. It was an absolute pleasure! Plants were great and found the cost, well honestly CHEAP! The packaging is professional and no damage at all. Product arrived via Federal Express. Great selection. I have spoken with seller and he works for large greenhouse and these are what he calls "over-runs". That is the reason that he can start the auctions at .99! He also send me a catalog of items that his company sells, 104 pages full of pictures and information! Stitz I agree with everything you said, I'm going to make contact through eBay but I'm sure they also have a shopping cart one could utilize. I won't need a partner as the $ amount will not be overwhelming. The real problem I have is that we are about to descend into Winter, I would need to land these plants in the next 3 to 4 weeks in order to give them half a chance to establish before the winter rains and temperature drop, maybe I'll wait until Spring. My question relates to which of the three main vendors that I have seen sell on eBay would be the best contact. If some one asked me that question about Australian vendors I think I could give some advice at this time. I have zero experience with Thai vendors but, if no one else has either, will simply pick one and give it a shot. I have seen them advertise some neat stuff that I have never seen before at the shows. Who was your Brazilian seller? I just bought a whole bunch of neat stuff from Ecuador, nothing one could not get at our shows but at a major reduction in price, no need to import either as they brought it and I picked it up the next time they set foot in the US. This merchant was one of my first purchases, I couldn't complain because I didn't have anything else to compare it to. $12 for one of his, $30 for another one somewhere else... from now on I'll purchased the $30 one. A little more but the conifer will be nearly 3-4 times larger. It was a newb mistake I'm sure. Whaas - Bob the ebay merchant is closing? If so, why/when? I don't mean to hijack the thread, but I've bought so many great things from him and the quaility has surpassed pretty much everyone. It'll be a real shocker if we're talking about the same person.

Ciao Ann, don't worry about fig snobbery, this is what keeps alot of headaches down with mislabeled fic plants. It helps to keep the varieties pure and ensures we get what we want. I don't know this vendor at all, I do trust a few on here that sells fig plants, Maybe send this person an email and check to see if they reply and how knowledgeable they are about the Celeste variety. Just throw a few test questions, nothing wrong with only wanting what you payed for. Hey, five dollars is still five dollars no?
