We had some really mean looking clouds yesterday, but thankfully nothing but wind along with them.

Comments (15)Nicole, thanks for the filling us in on the photo. What a drag you missed the majority of the cranes. Would love to go to the crane festival some year. Wouldn't even mind seeing the alligator farm. Love animals of all types. well, except mosquitoes and ticks. :-) The elementary school at the end of our street "seeded" their playground just for the flocks of Canada Geese that fly through here. :-) It's an awesome site though to see bunches of geese populating the school's field and spilling out onto the sidewalk and street in the middle of a residential area. Some of the males stand in the middle of the street with their lady and try to stop cars from passing by holding out their wings. I don't know of any that have been hit, it's a street feeding three cul-de-sacs so not much traffic. But I have gotten out of my car to move the geese on so others could pass. Comments (8)This is hilarious, Casey. And I can almost hear it's cooing. Mama and four cubs. Cubs were playing most of the time and mama enjoyed some water grass. The description of the hike warned that sometimes nesting seabirds in the area will attack hikers. As we finished walking around taking pictures of the poppies, I saw this sign:
9 years agolast modified: 9 years agoWhile we were in London last year, someone pointed out that there was a Harry Potter exhibit at King's Cross Station. Harry Potter fans will know that he goes to Hogwarts School of Magic via King's Cross. So first photo is pointing to the sign to get to Platform 9 3/4. I lined up with 10 - 12 year olds (lol!) at the exhibit for the second photo, "running" with a luggage cart through the wall to get to the train.

Just moved my car out from under it. Guess I know what I'll be doing Saturday. Should make it three days. Hopefully.
ETA: not looking good for making it. It split more, and I felt I had to do something. Stupid, but I'm trying! If it fell straight down, it wouldn't hit anything. Seriously hoping we get to Saturday!
9 years agoThe Butterfly Exhibit is going on now at the Krohn Conservatory. I try to go every year. Lots of good photo opportunities. This little fellow landed on my arm!
