Comments (9)Gazania, I've been enjoying seeing them in my yard too. They ate the milkweed down to sticks and now are on the butterfly weed. Comments (8)When I lived in the Dallas house we had a roadrunner that was enamored with me or my dogs or cats not sure which but every day it would come to the pool patio and tap tap on the window, they went to the floor, and it would keep doing that till I came over and talked to it. Then it started bringing me treats, grasshoppers, other bugs etcetc. It would leave them right at the window where I could see it. Comments (17)sabbath, no I didn't. The doe had her fawn in our yard and the first time I saw them, the baby was still wet and trying to stand up to take her first steps. She was quite wobbly! We have a lot of deer here and there are a group of three does who have chosen our yard as a sort of nursery. Last summer, one was born right under my studio window and I did get to see part of that birth. Fawn season is rapidly approaching and there will be new babies being born starting in June and ending in the early part of August....See More

9 years agoWhile looking for a 'springy' pic, I came across an old favorite instead. My 2 girls and brother's 2 boys, all at age 9 or 10, watching the grave diggers. They are all in their mid fifties now.
