NEW: OBF MAY'S WHITE ELEPHANT SWAP
Comments (370)I received my BINGO seed bags, I did not have this handy 2" by 3" size. It was a cliffhanger if the package would come, in the window between the back hoe and bulldozer leaving and me leaving. It did. The two named iris* are soaking their feet tonight, wondering where they are, trying to talk to the little tomato seedlings and learning to love the sound of "Chelsea Dagger". Shirley this is the clearest label on a package I ever saw. Thank you, thank you , thank you. *while you guys were wondering who's turn it is, I was winning the Books of the Bible game. Comments (111)I registered to join roughly 3 times over the past couple years and my account was never activated. if they couldn't maintain a website, not even something simple by approving new-users, what makes them think people are interested in a subscription based site? sounds like another disaster.. if they were having financial trouble keeping the site running, then they should of just had a donation page where their small group of approved forum users could submit a contribution. they could of also passed down the some of the responsibility to approve new users to someone else, including help maintaining the site. surely they could of picked a few regulars to maintain that and i'm sure some wouldn't mind. it's unfortunate as the site has potential to grow. And again, could of likely been self-sustained with donations. as a former web dev/admin, i can think of a bunch of things. perhaps donators could receive special perks and forum features, etc. there is a lot that can be done. it's also much easier to have a site financially maintain itself when you have a growing website of new members, rather than turning them away by not allowing them to participate.....See MoreAnyone know of a tomato seed swap other than TV?
Comments (12)Tville is run solely at the owner's expense with no ads, it's not the primary focus of his life and he rarely posts. Applications for joining are batched and held for some weeks (or months?) till he has time to review them, and a new flood of members appears all at once. Don't feel singled out for being ignored, but it's well worth the wait once you are approved. Tormato asked to have info posted here about his MMM swap, because it's still open to GardenWeb members like it has been in past years. The posts were removed, probably because they had direct links back to Tville. I don't know why he didn't do the posts himself, maybe he is too busy or has lost his password. If you participated before and can search to find last years info here, rules are pretty much the same, return postage may be a little more. I always send a little extra and round up to the nearest $....See MoreOur Blooming Friends/June swap “Your hobby in a box!”
