NEWBIE Seed Project - MARCH 2016
Comments (42)Hi Denise, Your messaging is not set up. Go to the top of this thread and see the post with instructions, and the 2nd post is "techincal" help so you can set up your messaging, etc. You are not too late. I only realized this morning that March is over. UPDATE FOR EVERYONE: I have a limited number of packets. Some people who have posted/requested have not sent stamps, so if I dont get them soon, I will not hold them. Looks like April will be the last month for newbie seeds, then everyone will be busy growing and planting for this season's garden :) I have really enjoyed helping out the newbies (and must give much credit to the seed donors who have been SOOOO generous this year!) I hope everyone has enjoyed their newbie packets!...See MoreFebruary 2017 - NEWBIE SEED PROJECT
Comments (40)I am a musician. And when I'm not playing the drums I'm playing in the dirt. I am building my clay soil through wood chips and composting. That takes time. So I have been picking up mulch from the city and last year I laid down a strip across the front border of my property and stuck as many things as I could in there. I have a bee hive and they survived the winter!! I'm excited to see what they think of all the work I've been doing to feed them lol. I have a friend that has over 20 hives and I convinced him to turn his back yard into a bee Buffett. So I'll be setting him up this year. I have mulched about 1/3 of the tree lawn and that is where I put some of the pretty, ivansive plants. Im just discovering the world of hardy/perennial and self seeding vegetables. (Sorrel and arugula are on my watch list) It all started bc I didn't want to mow my lawn but my passion for giving plants a life in my Yarden has beecome so much more...fruitful....See MoreNEWBIE SEED PROJECT - MAY 2017
Comments (12)Hello! Thank you so much for putting this together. My name is Nick Greinert, and I live in Round Rock, Texas (basically North Austin). I started a garden in my parents backyard to try and be more self sufficient and provide for them and my finance. Vegetables would be much appreciated; also any herb or flower would not go to waste! God bless! Edit: My garden consists of an upper deck with plenty of room for pots, and a big backyard with a recently constructed raised garden bed that is 6' wide by 11' long. There's also a lot of space that I could use out front because my parents constructed a front garden when I was little, and it has fallen to disuse....See MoreNEWBIE SEED PROJECT - NOVEMBER 2017
