I wish you well with the transition. I hate moving.

I hope you find the purging kind of freeing, Audrey. I know I did, and I could have done more. It's been 4 years since we moved and I find I brought things to this house not being used - and things not being worn. I thought I'd done a good job eliminating things from closets but see where I could have done better, time to make a trip to the clothes bank for sure.

I hope it goes really smoothly for you. Will you have some pictures for us of your new-to-you suite? How about the second master that was being added, is that turning out the way they'd hoped?

From what I'm told things are going great. All the electric is done. All the plumbing is done too. I don't know if they have connected the hot water heater yet. It's one of the new kind that heats as you go. Son will lay the bathroom tile this week sometime. So things seem to be on schedule.

Oh I will post pics once I'm in for sure!

It's so refreshing to hear about someone moving closer to family instead of away from their family.

I can't tell you how many of our friends and co-workers critiqued our moving down the street from our daughter's family when we retired.

Excellent! A friend just moved from her home of 27 years into an apartment in a new small town. She was very apprehensive about leaving her memories behind, but now that she's in the apartment she says she's sleeping better than she has in years.

You sound wonderful and looking forward to good times, I'm so happy for you.

You'll be busy. Remember, you have plenty of time to decide what to take and what NOT to take. Maybe a box to take full of 'maybe' things. If you never open it...then it can go too.

Yes PK Schultz has been living there. Can't wait to have my handsome fella with me again. I think he will love it too.

I am running the gambit emotionally over the move. Sometimes I am elated, other times I feel anxious, or, worried, or stressed, or defeated. I know it's the best thing and that I will be happy.

The ordeal of packing is the worst of it all.

This is great news! You will be reunited with Schultz and I know how happy that will make you. The rest is just "stuff"! If you have a mailing service near you check to see if they have boxes. When I worked we printed our brochures inhouse so we usually had plenty of empty boxes the paper came in. We used a mailing service so if we ran out we could get boxes from them. They are the perfect size for packing.

It's going to be great! I hope there are no BIG bumps in the move, small ones are to be expected. I hope you will be happy there, it sounds wonderful. Close to family but still having your private space, win-win for everyone. Can't wait to see pics!

All very normal feelings under the circumstances. Moving is always a very stressful situation. Just take your time, and take care of yourself first! Get the rest you need and don't push yourself too hard. It will all work out in the end. And it will be wonderful once you are settled in your new place, your dog with you and you with your family.
