Right now my tallest jalapeno and sweet are 8" tall and my tallest habanero is about 3-4" tall. Last year I didn't have any germinate. The year before that I got a few to germinate, but they didn't fare so well. So this is the first year I've really got to see the habaneros grow from a seed. I've bought plants from a greenhouse when my own attempts to grow them failed and they were as tall and looked like most of the pepper plants they had. So I guess it never occurred to me that the habaneros might grow differently. I'm still a beginner at this gardening thing...I'm learning new stuff every year.

What version of MSE ? search 'manually uninstall security essentials. You need to try to remove it as properly as possible it if you install another anti-virus brand for sure. Think I would just remove MSE then reinstall it. BUT... it sounds like you both have some identical problem with it not showing up in both add/remove's. Often times a virus will disable your anti-virus program, SCan Scan SCAN!!!! or it maybe is another program you have installed conflicts. Have you looked around in Event Viewer .. it may tell you the problem.

That's a hard question to answer. You are right to realize that stainless steel and granite have become so popular that they are almost cliche, however, that doesn't mean they have to look dated. If you choose what you love and strive to create a kitchen that reflects you, you'll have a kitchen that endures. Unfortunately, the homecenters and other suppliers don't carry stuff that isn't selling, so most of the time our options are limited to what is popular at a given time. I am in the process of finishing a kitchen redo and though I knew what I wanted, I was still limited to what was available. Despite having a very distinctive idea about the "look" I wanted, the end-product reflects current trends. Think about the way you live and what you love, and try to find those materials that will really complement your lifestyle and the style of your house. No matter what you choose, you'll want to make sure that you're up to whatever maintenance it requires. (Like the smudges and fingerprints that come free with S/S.) Good luck to you.

I have spent the entire day doing more research in this forum, helpmefind and concerning what happened to my roses. I definitely do think I damaged more than the DARes - with that extra spray routine I did on Monday with Daconil and Malathion. The reason is that I sprayed a lone climber far away from the rose garden and when I checked it this morning - it had the same burnt at the edge of the leaf look to a couple of it's leaves. It is Climbing Blaze and really only two leaves looked burnt. I have just about decided to no longer even spray for insects and would like to think I could do the same for fungus/black spot. Unfortunately - I had another problem crop up today. I posted pictures in another thread of my round Drift garden (3 years old) and the damaged buds on every bush. This happened literally overnight. I am waiting for opinions from this same forum and hope you all will go take a look. I fear spider mites. I am sure no animal ate the tops of these tiny buds out - a rabbit would have to be pretty crafty and agile to manage getting just the tops and not damaging any branches. I also have read so much about using oils - but not to use them if the temperature gets too hot - well, it was 85 here the last two days. I will NOT be spraying malathion or Daconil anymore - these leaves look so messed up and I only can hope that the bushes will recover. i am still getting yellowing at the bottoms of many of my bushes and pulling off the yellow leaves as they drop or turn completely yellow. I did water with a strong stream every bush this morning - thinking that possibly some of the insecticide/fungicide spray I sprayed on Monday would possibly be removed. Thank you everyone for any advice and attention you have given this issue. I know I am having beginners problems and with my bare root garden - if they can just make it to growing a healthy root system - maybe they will survive all of this. The dirt was prepared very well by my husband - who is a total green thumb and Biologist - but he says roses are over his head!! Thank you! Denise
