Immature (seedling) plant leaves often look different than the leaves they will put out as they get older.
Also, simple genetics plays a role in how much splash a seedling will have vs. it's parents and siblings. That photo makes it hard to see any genetic variation (odd angle, lighting issues).
Unless it is 100% that the pollina parent was also kerrii splash, there is also the chance that it is a hybrid, which throws in even more genetic possibilities.
These are seedlings the AH is growing out. He(or she) only knows that the mother plant is Kerrii Splash. They are cute but the leaves are more circular than heart shaped. I decided not to buy them. I think he also has Hanhaie pink seedlings.
Like I said, remember that those are immature seedlings and adult characteristics take time to show. It could be that those are what the adult leaves will look like, or maybe, as the plant matures, the heart shape will become prevalent.
That being said, some hoyas pop out of the ground looking exactly like their parents, only with tiny leaves!
Remember also, that kerri is in the same complex as diversifolia, meliflua, fraterna, excavata and treubiana. Each of those have a lot of diversity between the leaves, kerrii seems to be the most stable (regarding leaf shape; variegation/splash...not so much). That also may explain the leaf distortion. If they are all in the same complex, perhaps it is just (evolutionarily) easier for them to start out with nice, fat, round leaves. More surface area for food making and "gathering" humidity, makes for a stronger adult plant.
Or, perhaps these seedlings have a throwback gene from way back when kerrii first came into existence.
Heck, we don't even know if some of the named hoya varieties aren't just wild type mutations. Like kerri could just be a mutated wild type meliflua that we named as a different species, and then further tweaked and cultivated to our liking.
Until big bucks are shelled out to DNA test these lovelies, we may never know!
