@hallettco When I remodeled I wanted a Havens copper sink and was told by my designer that a kitchen sink in a multi-family condo needed to have a UL Certification. I found this mind boggling because 1) what possible electrical issues could a kitchen sink have 🤣🤣 and 2) the quality of my super expensive Havens copper sink was better than the cheap sinks that did have the certification. The plumbing inspector who did my inspections was a stickler for many many things - I think I was inspected four times but he never checked to see if there was a UL label on the kitchen sink. 🤷🏼‍♀️ My GC and designer said they could probably find a sticker from one of the sinks they were using on other projects if worse came to worse🤫

Hi Mittens Cat-- I included links in the Google Drive document to most of the products we used so you can check the cost of individual items. The most expensive single item was the quartz countertop-- which varies by manufacturer and color pattern that you choose. We also spent more because we got the beveled edge joint along the front for a true waterfall look. I want to say that the quartz itself was around $100 sq ft + edge cost (which is why it is going to outlive me and will never change for the rest of my life, ha ha ha). You could save money by having a more traditional joint (which costs less money in labor). Our countertop was also expensive because we did a 12" backsplash that wraps around the sides of the countertop as well. Another tip was that we bought the quartz through Costco, and got a certain percentage back as a costco gift card (which I plan to use to buy quartz for a future tiny half bath remodel!) If you are looking to save money that would be another place you could reduce your cost. Good luck!

We have one Godmorgon vanity and several Hemnes vanities (all 48" I think) in our new house and we're very satisfied with all of them. In most of the bathrooms, we installed a vanity with a matching tall storage tower on each side. When you install them properly yourself in your house they'll be fine. My husband is a carpenter/builder and is always aghast at the lousy installation jobs at Ikea. For the bathrooms and kitchens, the problem is twofold -- Ikea employees do a terrible job putting together the item, and then do a terrible job attaching the terribly built item to the wall. Pros include all the storage, the ease of cleaning the integrated ceramic sinktop (Odensvik), and the price (esp on sale). I haven't come up with any cons yet.

After hours of searching we did land on this sink: https://www.build.com/nameeks-3004/s1259504?uid=3011533 Happy to report that it fits over the Godmorgon well and uses the regular pipes required by our co-op. While pricey, we ended up loving the quality and it was the only sink to fit the vanity (it was already installed by the time we realized the Odesvik wouldn't work for our building requirements). So we went with it! The only downside is the shelves needed to be cut just a bit (top and bottom) to accommodate for piping. But we still have a lot of storage underneath. Hope this helps!
