One week ago
today, my sweet, beloved Mom, passed away unexpectedly. She had a green thumb
and loved flowers. Whenever I was sad, and wanted to curl up into a ball, she’d
say, “Do it for me.” She always encouraged me to be involved with something I
enjoy. So, though my heart hasn’t been into it, I continue to post here, to
honor her.

I enjoy
everyone’s pictures and the camaraderie here.

Summer, I am so sorry that you lost your mom (((Hugs))). She sounds like a wonderful woman. Please keep posting.

thank you. Mom loved that shade of calla lily. I bought her some to grow in
pots as they aren’t hardy here.

Elizabeth – a few days before, we were
admiring clouds through her window & I took pictures so we could look at them
again one day. Mine can’t compare to

You're welcome, summer. I know how hard it is to lose one's mother. I'm not sure what type of flower it is; I took it in a botanical garden after it had just finished raining.

I was very close to my Mom and losing her was very painful. My Mom was big into sewing and crafting, and I found great comfort and a way to spend time "with her" by spending time doing the things we loved to do together. A gal I knew was getting married so I offered to make her veil. I know my Mom was with me helping me in my project and employing the skills that she taught me over all the years helped me feel so close to her.

My deepest sympathy. So sorry you lost your mom. I know that pain. For you and your mom.
