KA French door counter depth refrigerator

Any feedback good or bad about this unit? I love how it looks with the platinum interior and I really want a counter depth. I did not like the regular depth because of the split drawers which I felt wasted a ton of space. It's a pretty hefty price tag for me at $3600+ too. Would love to hear from some who actually own the unit.

I have a roughly 5-6 year old model by KA Counterdepth French doors, so the latest versions are likely to be a tad different.

The good: easy clean durable exterior; functional roll out freezer tray, solid interior shelves and racks ( no breakage yet); quiet, good lighting, and most importantly solid temperature control

The bad: lower gasket has a poor seal, the condensate line freezes up relentlessly, and hence deposits a puddle on the floor most days if I don't chisel the ice out of the bottom of the freezer drawer. If I had hardwood floors it would have wrecked them a hundred times, thankfully I have vinyl floors, and early on there were some nasty falls when I did not toss a towel in front of the fridge.

Bottom line, would I buy again? Probably not due to the seal and condensate line issues.

Yoyoma, Does the frig that you saw have water/ice dispenser thru the door? I called Kitchen Aid and they said they do have this new model coming out , but it is not in the stores yet and they do not know when it will be available. I need to pick out a frig and give the dimensions to my cabinet store so he can order cabinets. Since my other other appliances i picked out are KA, i wanted to stay with that brand. Also, what was the price on it? Thanks for any advice.

I love my JennAir (white). It's the same as KitchenAid. At the time I bought it, they were the only 72" tall fridges, so there wasn't a big gap between the top of the fridge and the cabinet above.
