Range hood CFM question

I am looking to replace a Samsung OTR microwave that has stopped working with a range hood. I was not too impressed with the venting or lighting capabilities of the Samsung microwave, so I don't want to get another one (not to mention, it didn't even last 4 years, although it came with my house so I don't know how much it was used before I got it).
My range is a Samsung 30" gas with 4 regular burners and the large oval skillet burner in the middle. I do not have a vent to connect to so this will be venting back into the kitchen. I read a Houzz article that said I need a minimum of 600 cfm for a gas range (although that may have been for a 36" range? I'm not sure).
So my question is, do I really need a minimum of 600 cfm? I'm having a hard time finding a hood with that much cfm that doesn't require outside venting (note that I am currently just looking at Home Depot, etc). Thanks for any advice!
