On this one it seams that each blossom is different. I love it. I think I read that it is a slow grower but I could be wrong. Deb the little angel came in the mail yesterday from my sister. on the bottom she wrote...1000 kisses. I am homesick now. Everybody said I was angel and I really miss my co workers and friends a LOT. Thank goodness for all the angels that remind me of beautiful memories. Eloise I was hungry this morning lol. Since I hate to eat alone ...I figured I invite you all to join me ;-) Linda so happy you liked it. Theresa you are last. Cause I just do not know what to say but brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it even LOOKS cold hahahahaha Now that is ONE thing I do not miss about my former job. Drving the mail through the snow with a bycicle or pushing a cart. Or them taking you where ever lol. Stay warm and safe. Lucy...See MoreNeed serious advice re SD
Comments (25)"JNM, if you couldnt see the put down in it, your blind and deaf. I guess people here only see disrespect from stepchildren." People see what they WANT to see. People interpret things the way they WANT to interpret things. Personally, I've noticed a positive change in KKNY from when I first came here. But, if someone is dead set in keeping a battle going, they refuse to hear the other calling a cease fire. JNM is right. People are who they are and unless they WANT to change, they won't. Even if they want to change, sometimes they CAN'T. mommybear, I think your plan is a good one. It's important that your daughter doesn't feel like she's being punished for things someone else is doing. I'm interested in the statement: "We give a ton of positive reinforcement to SD but the minute we do she does something negative." because that describes my oldest son. He's 21 and as long as nobody tells him how great he's doing in something, he'll continue doing great. As soon as someone tells him 'good job', he starts screwing up. It's frustrating and the only answer we've been able to come up with is to not say anything at all. It's not a very good solution, so has anyone else has found something that works? (and it really is a disservice to him because he has lost a few jobs because his managers don't know that as soon as they praise his work, they run the risk of him messing up and it has affected him a few times in the workplace)...See MoreMake-the-night-before pack-able breakfast for HS CC runner
Comments (15)Ssdarb, late to the conversion! I make DH’s breakfast’s to go, and he’s really enjoyed the faux starbuck’s egg bites Islay spoke about. If you don’t have a sous vide, you can make them in an Instant Pot (one of many recipes), and if you’ve not got an instant pot or pressure cooker, you can make them in the oven (one of many)… If she needs the carbs, here’s an easy version with hash browns included, oven style. I use the low-fat cottage cheese versions, and what I love is it’s so versatile – you can add just about any veg you want, any combination, and really pack them full! DH’s favorite cheese is sharp cheddar, but I find we both prefer even a tiny bit of gruyere instead. Easy to make ahead on a weekend or non-busy day, they keep for a week in the fridge. I put a couple in a pre-warmed (with boiling water) quality thermos after zapping the egg bites in the microwave for 30 – 35 seconds and they stay plenty warm enough to enjoy until he has time to eat. Later I intend to try the burritos as well, for variation (anything make-ahead in quantity is a lifesaver for hectic mornings putting breakfast and lunch together when I’m still trying to wake up!). Lots of great ideas here! Good luck!...See MoreDo you eat breakfast foods for breakfast or can you eat anything?
Comments (56)I eat a breakfast-type breakfast every morning, and have all my life. Other than cold leftover pizza in college, that is. For the majority of my life though, there is no way I could or would eat leftovers from the night before, etc. My DH is a family practice doc and he’s very into healthful eating. I agree, having been in the healthcare field myself for many years, but I absolutely refuse to eat food that’s “good for me” but tastes boring or ugh! Thank goodness we both love to cook and experiment with recipes, as I can honestly say that we eat delicious breakfasts every day of the week....See More
