hubby has fingernail fungus on 3 fingers + washes dishes w bare hand

This drives me crazy. Wouldn't his fingernail fungus get onto the dishes he is washing by hand, and many times even without using detergent on the dishes. I constantly tell him to NOT wash the dishes with his hands, but he won't stop doing this. What can I do?

I am looking for a pair of garden gloves that don't let the dirt in. Most every pair I have ever had lets the dirt in at the tips of the fingers, and it destroys my manicure. If anyone has any suggestions, could you mention not only the brand but which ones are most protective, as each brand often has many styles and selections to choose from. I used some latex gloves yesterday, and today my hands are inflammed, red and itching. Guess i must be allergic to the gloves or else I got into some poison ivy or something. Anyway I am desperate for a pair of good, protective gloves that don't leak dirt and mud in.

I've had good luck with many different brands & types- it seems like the key or common ingredients are shea butter (miraculous) goat's milk lanolin vitamins A & E aloe I've had excellent results using aloe straight from the plant for a lot of problems other than burns. Last week I had an insect bite that turned red, got chapped, flaked, & *itched* like fire. I tried every single remedy in the medicine cabinet with no effect, & then... I accidentally broke off an aloe vera leaf. Figuring I didn't have anything to lose, I squeezed the fluid onto the spot & the itch stopped immediately & the place started to heal.

I have NEVER used gloves(latex or any other) while handling hot peppers. My hands might feel some heat sensation but not to the point to matter much. The ONLY problem is if I forget and touch my eyes with my hands before washing them with soap and water. But on the remedy side, I think alcohol makes sense to me. I have not tried but I think robing crushed Great Plantain might help. I use it to relieve the itch caused by insect bite(mosquitoes in particular). I also believe in yogurt.

No one said that scent is not important - it is very important, and it is especially important that the scents we want to enjoy are not obliterated by scents that we do not want. I was unable to detect the scents in food that I liked because they were being masked by the scent of the hand soap. Scents can also warn us of danger as much as they can delight us. I remember being constantly nauseated by the barnyard smells when I was growing up, and I would not wear shoes in the house that I had worn in the barn - I had to have galoshes to protect my shoes whenever I would go there. I saw one show on TV about human development, and it said that brothers find the scent of their sisters repulsive (and vice versa) thus helping to prevent interbreeding. Therefore scents are very personal, and what one person finds attractive, another person will find repulsive. For this reason, it is important to respect boundaries with regard to scents and not invade someone's space with unwanted fragrances. For me, the hand soap was a very unwanted fragrance. There are as many repulsive smells as there are pleasant ones. Smells also trigger the most intense memories, and olfactory memories have been shown to be some of the strongest. I've noticed this when I smell freshly cut grass.

Why not get the fungus treated? It may be quite possible to get rid of it, before it spreads to his other fingers, and toes, and to others in the household....

What he does not know, and has not realized, and probably neither have you, is that the fungus is spreading throughout his body. Let him get down in some immune system way, and he will have elevated complications. Fungi are not so complicated and he can see a doctor to cure it. You have seen how fungi go through the whole loaf of bread right?

First of all...don't be too harsh on your system...the more you worry the more you can effect your own health. There is a treatment ..takes several month, my wife had it on some of her toes, doctor said the treatment is harsh on the liver but she went ahead and did it anyway...was about 10 years ago, never came back, now she gets even more foot massage! lol

Melaleuca Essential Oil will kill the nail fungus. Rub a drop onto the nails a couple times a day

Have a doctor look at it. If it's a fungus he will prescribe something for it but it may not be a fungus. My husband had what he thought was fungus under the nail on 1 finger. He fooled around with it for months and wouldn't see a doctor dispite my constant nagging.until it One day he banged it and danced around in pain. Frustrated I hollered at him for cripes sake see a doctor. I also told him I didn't feel the least bit of sympathy for him because he was too stupid and stubborn to look after his health and then I cried. I think it was the crying that got through to him because he immediately made an appointment. It turned out it wasn't fungus but cancer and he lost part of his finger. When he told me I bit my tongue--you don't kick a guy when he's down but I would have dearly liked to swat him upside the head

Add a good splash of vinegar to the dish water and it may actually cure his nail fungus.
