Ok, here's my monkey pic. Me hanging out with Japanese Macaque at Monkey Mountain in Beppu, Japan where 1,200 primates run free. This was 1983. About 30 seconds after this photo was taken, I was attacked by the large male laying on his side behind me. He went for my throat but I saw him coming so I threw my left arm up to protect my throat. He grabbed my upper arm and bit down so hard I lost feeling in my hand. I stood up and he held on tight, legs dangling as he hung on. A monkey man came along (after hearing a crowd of people yelling) and smacked the monkey with a bamboo cane. Barely registered with the monkey but he did let go. Though no clothing or skin was broken, I had five large hemorrhages on my upper arm where his teeth sank to the bone. Could have been much worse, could have been my neck. Jodi-

Yes, it was taken from my Mediterranean cruise! We passed right by it! Awesome. That's a little fishing village. They make their livelyhood from sword fishing there. Supposedly a great fishing site. And to the right, that rock houses a lighthouse!

Jim, we were just there - went through the new locks -quite different. There are no mules, the locks are much larger and the gates slide to the sides rather than swing open.
