Comments (8)It's an Epiphyllum guatemalense monstrose aka "E. Curly Locks." These are orchid cactus. Great advice upstairs .. Lots of folks just hang Epis high in a very sunny window during the cooler months 55 degrees F and below. I recommend placing outdoors under the canopy of a tree during warmer weather if you can. They love the dappled sunlight and fresh air circulation. These are self-pollinating and don't require insects to produce fruit and seeds. A porch is nice, too but has less air circulation so you have to keep an eye out for mites. Are you feeding your Curly Locks? Use an NPK with a higher center number for strong roots and blooms [alternately 20-20-20] once a month. That may be the issue. Here are some I have growing from seed.
