Comments (2)anenemity - Thank you for the input - and yes - I am hoping for general room configurations at this point. We are open to changing things around. Give me a blank slate and I give you a blank stare - I am just not creative at all! :) One concern I have - the covered porch area will have a single door to the mudroom and then also a double door or door with side lights as our main entry. If we change the sunroom/kitchen around (swap) then our main entry door will open straight into the kitchen. Also - the room to the bottom left that has the slanted opening into the "kitchen" is the original "living room". We put our dining room table in there because the existing dining room was so small and non functional. We would like to be able to move the DR table into another area and use our living room again. But, honestly, I love the sunroom area so much (it looks out to our wooded back yard)that I feel much more comfortable in that room than the living room. I am sorry if this is so confusing. One plan my DH came up with - is to have the kitchen along the wall adjoining the mudroom with an longer island sort of in the middle. The dining room table would be along the right wall of the kitchen area. I am concerned that wont be enough space for a table. The planned mudroom became that size because the existing entry to the garage from our DR. We figured it would be nice to enter the mudroom from either the garage or the outside and dump dirty clothes, etc before entering the main part of the house. I am open to changes in design for that room also. Anyone know of any good architects in the KY area? :) Or do we need a kitchen designer?...See MoreSouth facing Texas home
Comments (5)Agreed. I would like to paint the entire house. I'm not in love with gray brick, so I'm looking for a color that makes it fade into the background. The posts as well. There is a gravel road to the right that leads to parking in the back. I assume the previous owners always entered through the back door. All of the current landscaping will be coming out. There is t much to work with. I would like to add some Crepe Myrtles, knockout roses, and annuals to start. I'm just trying not sure of the placement. Also, I would like a flagstone walkway to the front porch at some point. Thoughts?...See MoreHelp me find the bathroom sink faucets I'm imagining!
Comments (9)From Starcraft's review, http://www.starcraftcustombuilders.com/sources.faucets.Newport.Brass.htm The company has lost points in prior reports for its warranty and customer service. Nothing seems to have changed this year. The 10-year limited warranty on faucet parts other than ceramic cartridges and finishes other than PVD finishes is out of step with most other American-based faucet companies, and with the lifetime warranties on other Masco faucet lines — Brizo, Delta and Peerless. It is not possible to believe that Newport Brass, with access to all of Masco'a advance manufacturing and plating technologies, cannot manufacture a lifetime faucet with a lifetime finish....See Moremarrymaid
