Trump threatens to "make Bill's infidelity a campaign issue"
Comments (139)Like I said before, I'm voting for HC and I'm basing my opinions on what she says and does, not what someone else says about her. I've followed her political career for decades. Asking legitimate questions about judgement and competence is not equating the candidate to a "monster." I pay zero attention to the caricatured talking points on HC from her opponents. Asking legitimate questions about judgement and competence is not putting a qualifier on her or intimating that she is outrageously horrible. And telling a left wing democrat that they are part of that " right wing hammering away at her and hoping that negative force they've created around her sinks into the American psyche" seems a little bit overwrought to me to put it as delicately as I can. It is true, I have never heard HC ask someone to literally stop picking on her, but it seems to me like you are intimating Tibbrix, that I am picking on HC and asking me to stop. Forgive me if I am misinterpreting your remarks. It's not a particularly interesting discussion to me, sorry to say, because there is nothing true or positively impressive to me in that line of defense of HC. So if you want to shut down discussion, mission accomplished on my end....See MoreAn election realization
Comments (38)Sorry but you have misunderstood what she was saying and why. I don't think that is possible as I didn't read what she was saying and why. I don't want to get into a debate on these forums about the positive and negative effects of income smoothing and big bath type losses. If I did I wouldn't link a non-supported non-academic article for that complex of a topic. In the rationale section of her piece she provides a brief history, which is the ONLY SECTION I REFERRED TO, in response to the claim that I was offering opinion rather than fact when I talked about why NOL deductions exist. I assure you, that my reason they currently exist are stated correctly. Furthermore, (after reading the article) it is incredibly easy to understand and I understand exactly what she is saying and why. I additionally understand that it is pertinent to our discussion because the basis for the recommendation is the same basis I made above. You can clearly see this in her analysis section. I mean she says the same thing I did, even if for different reasons nothing in her response is inherent to that particular situation. "Analysis For businesses, the generation of a NOL means that deductions exceeded income for that particular tax year. To not allow any benefit for the excess deductions would elevate the significance of the annual accounting period beyond its purpose of administrative convenience. Businesses differ in terms of business cycles. Also, unusual events can occur that may unexpectedly cause an operational loss in any given year. The annual accounting cycle can be harsh in measuring taxable income when a longer period may have allowed excess deductions to be used against income of prior or future years" I am sorry you are wrong, I am sorry to point it out so publicly. Again, you don't care about being right, you just want me to be wrong. I am sorry to disappoint you, but you are not correct. Light technical explanation my foot. The basis of her conclusion not the recommendation itself but the reason for it is the same. Did something happen to the tax year when I wasn't looking? No....See MoreIs Earth attacking us?
Comments (2)"The Earth knows what's happening, and is reacting to it like a living organism under acute heat stress, literally gasping for breath." this is is the kind of hysterical, chicken little statement that causes the media to loose credibility. Go review a few entry level college geology textbooks. Whatever happens to humanity, the earth will get along just fine when temperatures climb (with or without our interference)....See MoreHorrified at Trump's 'Short and fat' comment.
Comments (24)It takes a very small minded person to behave the way Mr. Frumpy does. Everytime he does something like this, I think, boy what an example he’s setting for the young eyes of his son. When he’s an adult and frumpy is gone, he’s going to have to live with the residue of this and that is, as he always says, “sad”. Look at the legacy he’s paving for future generations to reflect on. When schools study this era of our country’s history, he will be remembered as a person who believed in and promoted hate, discrimination and violence. He was someone who seemingly did whatever he could do to divide this country and kill our democracy. He destroyed the good standing we had in this world and created nothing but chaos. So when he does stuff like this, he’s hurting himself and his family much more than he’s hurting the group or person in his focus at that moment. I sincerely hope that something to change this will happen soon, but I’m not holding my breath....See MoreUser
