can someone tell me what might be wrong with hydrangea?
Comments (8)Novice, if your soil is alkaline, your hydrangea is going to bloom PINK! You can add something to the soil to make it more acidic (causing BLUE flowers) but so far, I am in the mid-south area and I've always had blue flowers on my hydrangeas that I plant outside. It's possible a rabbit is nibbling at the hydrangea leaves if it's only down low. When my hydrangeas start to bloom, the buds are a cream color. As they open the blue color fills in. So that may be why your buds are rust color (going to be pink when fully open) Good luck. Maybe the link below will help you out! Here is a link that might be useful: About hydrangeas...See MoreHelp! Comments (3)Yup, exactly right. That flat rectangular part on the left of the hinge is hinged, and in the closed position, presses the two jaws of the round part against the sides of the hole it sits in. Just like Casey said above, take something flat and blunt and lift up a corner of the rectangular part. It should hinge back, release the jaws, and the door should pop right off....See MoreWhat might you do in this situation?
Comments (28)dear blue eyes and njtea, I can see both sides. Just because your mother doesn't agree with you doesn't make you wrong and her right or vice-versa. It is probably all about perspective. My mom did not like a guy that I dated and she thought he was too controlling. At the time, I didn't see it that way, but hindsight is 20-20, as they say and looking back on the situation, I believe 100% that she was right. She has also been in a situation that I was not comfortable with and thought she was being controlled. That didn't work out either and later she saw things the way that I did. It is so much easier for people from the outside to see things that people in a situation cannot see. But, I think if I had really listened to my inner voice, it would've been saying the same things my mom was saying at the time. I just didn't want to hear it. And my mom told me a few weeks ago that she knew in her heart that the decisions she made at the time she was with her controlling boyfriend were not the right decisions. It is just hard to hear sometimes. However, if you you, blue eyes truly do your best to look at your situation from the perspective of your mother and know in your heart that she is not right about it, then I would say that you are the only one who can judge. Nobody knows what goes on behind your closed doors. If your mom is toxic then that is that. I personally know that my mom has my best interest at heart and that she wouldn't see fault in somebody who treats me with love, respect and trust, but is cautious about those who don't. Hers is a voice I have found I need to listen to. Not everybody has a mom like mine, though. That is just something each person has to weigh for themselves....See MoreHello...and hope someone can help me! (I hope I hope)
Comments (9)The age would most likely be whenever your relative's father worked because it is unlikely that an office would contain a vintage piece of furniture. In terms of worth, the reality is that it isn't worth much because it is a piece of brown furniture in a style that is not popular or desirable. That's just the reality The amount you can get for the piece is going to depend on how you dispose of it and where you are located. Some areas probably still have more buyers for more traditional furniture. If you sell to a dealer, you will get less - if you find a consignment shop willing to actually take the piece, you might get a bit more. You can try craigslist but in my experience, craigslist has buyers who are either dealers or people looking for a bargain unless you actually had a collectible desirable piece. If you like the piece, use it because you wouldn't be able to get a replacement piece for less than what the actual fair market value of your piece is. If you want to get rid of it, see who wants it - or donate it. I just got rid of loads of "brown" furniture - my pieces were actually from the 19th Century and the prices I was offered were so low that I decided to donate them....See Morecaflowerluver
