Adding backsplash tiles (new ones)
Comments (1)Take pictures and head to a tile store to see if matching tiles are still being made...if possible, take a tile with you. You may have to head to several tile stores as they will carry different brands......See MorePreparing drywall (after removing old backsplash) for new backsplash
Comments (3)I'm not a professional and it depends on the size of the area to be repaired, but it's pretty easy to cut out damaged dry wall and then mud the patch seams. You want to do whatever will maximize the clean, level surface. And, yes, you will need to feather and sand your mud until it is dead level. I wouldn't paint the mudded, repaired drywall before tiling, at least, I never have. And I've never primed drywall before mudding it. If you've only read or watched videos, be sure you practice. If your repair area is large, even if just 'paper', maybe hire somebody?...See MoreCounter backsplash and new oven help
Comments (10)Trying to find the piece to carry across may be difficult since you have to rely on finding it and the fabricator who is willing to cut and charge for just that piece - not likely. However what's the trade off if you have to hire some one to tile? Unless of course you do it yourself. I think you can just add a nice tile or stainless sheet or piece of glass behind there. I like the second picture since the tile is a little wider. Good luck!!...See MoreBacksplash gap when new microwave was installed
Comments (14)You will be fine. It's a small area. You need a ruler, manual tile cutter, tile glue. You can do it. Just measure twice and cut once. Follow the pattern of the rest of the tile in terms of spacing. That would be the ideal way so everything will blend and you are not adding another element or something that will bring your eye to that area....See Morenosoccermom
