How's your winter sow doing?

I am in so zone 7a. This is my first time with winter sow. I have been starting seeds indoor with heat mat and overhead light for a bunch of years with reasonable level of success. I also have my share of failure, particularly with dampening off and lack of hardening. I am very excited to try this winter sow method.

Last weekend we have a first real snow, roughly 6 inches by the jersey shore. I started 13 milk jug of annuals and perennials. I plan to wait a few weeks to start lettuce,Swiss chard and spinach. Does it sound right?

Please respond with when and how you plan to start your seeds. Or any advice you may want to share on WS.
