At the end of the day,

It's sure nice to have an amazing man by your side when nerves are frayed, and the prognosis could have gone either way.

We went to the dermatologist today to get several places checked that were cause for concern. On place was a common mole, and a coupe others were seborrheic keratosis. She took the latter two off and sent them to the lab for verification. Other places are basicly diabetic skin, and just continue to use moisturizer. A couple others she said were nothing to worry about, and she froze them.

Tobey, on the other hand got his report back, and one place on his face IS cancer, so they are setting up an apt to get that taken care of.

With al that going on, Tobey took us out to Longhorn Steakhouse for supper. Now I am jus sitting here enjoying a lovely glass of wine.

Glad yours was 'nothing' and Tobey's can be removed -- Moh's procedure? My DH had a Moh's this spring for a spot on his forehead. When he was a kid, nobody thought a thing about skin damage. He was on his HS tennis team and lettered in swimming. *I* was wise, as it turns out. I ignored my mother's plea: "Get your nose out of that book and go out and get some color."

kali, I can relate. We (I am being generous with the we..lol) DIY the demo, ripping down the dropped ceiling and getting rid of the lath and plaster and it was endless. I know my limits and I am fantastic at tearing down but I am not so great at putting back together. Hubby has no interest in either so leaves me to the tearing apart and gladly hires others to put it back together.

gr8day I really like the way it is turning out. The lack of running water is a hassle...lol that I can handle easier than I can handle hubby complaining about it! Haven't quite figured out how it affects him so much saying he hasn't been doing the dishes...go figure! We have been working on renos for the past 15 yrs, I lived with no drywall covering walls for too many years to count. So despite this moving at snails pace, it is moving more quickly than anything has in the past! Time does fly by though...it always amazes me that my kids are all grown and out of the house (mostly) when it seems like yesterday that we had them! Installers aren't meant to come back until next wednesday, at which time I am hoping that all back ordered items are here and they can finish up. Still no water, but at least a fridge and freezer on the main level!

Good thoughts for your Tobey's to be easily removed with no extra margins to be removed later. I'm glad yours were all good.

Of course, I have no idea of the location or size of Tobey's spot... but if it is anything like mine was... it will heal fast. I had one take off my right temple on the 22nd. Went back to swimming for the first time today. It's not sore or anything I just wanted to let it heal all the way before getting in to pool water. I'll cross my fingers for him.

and I am glad, you got off as easy as you did.

Glad you are fine. Toby will be too. I had Moh's surgery many years ago and it was easy. Every time I go to the dermatologist he freezes the kerostosis on my forehead. such a pain- figuratively and literally.

When I read the title to your thread, as I clicked on it, I thought," yup, husband snoring as usual next to me as I read the forum. Funny/ironic given the opening words of the thread.

I know what you mean....What a lovely title for a thread. Those of us who are fortunate to have that 'other' person in the daily hours of our lives....how serene and complete. Even if it is only a memory.....or a different memory, there is still something 'complete' about that nice pause....... at the end, of the day. All is well with the world.

Tobey is really quite the special partner, He is so considerate and sensitive and so in tune with me. He knows me so well, and is my rock. He loves shopping and when I am a bit down, he knows exactly how to perk me up. He takes me shopping nd out to eat. LOL

When he gets down, I know what makes him happy....a back rub and a steak dinner.

His cancer is on the side of his face. But with lots of prayer, I believe it will be fine,

You're a lucky woman. I lost my "rock " 11 1/2 years ago to prostate cancer. I still miss him so much.
