I only just got my Leading Lady plant from Nor'east perhaps 3 months ago, so I don't have a lot of experience yet. But the 2 blooms it has produced have both be exquisite. And talk about big. I have a single bloom of it right now in a vase in my office at work, and it is bigger than some of the smaller hybrid teas I have. I Reeeaally like this rose! Forget Moonstone! This LL is my pick for a white with a delicate pink edge.

IâÂÂm trying to catch up on posts IâÂÂve missed lately, and just now seeing some of the pictures youâÂÂve posted of your new roses. All are beauties, but I think these two are my favorites! Btw, you did inspire me to add a few singles to my garden this year, and IâÂÂm really enjoying their simple beauty.

At the convention last week, Jim Wilkins, the originator, had a nice cluster of mature plants of Leading Lady and some others that he hybridized. He planted them when he first had the plant TC'ed. It is an amazingly beautiful plant, a rich deep dark satiny green and yellow margin, excellent contrast. Mine is not as nice, but it was really nice before I had to move. Unfortunately, it did not tolerate the move very well and shrunk a lot. I got another piece from my buddy Delbert. Great plant! It's pretty easy for me to recognise, very big leaves a little like Victory but darker green, not glossy.

Also entered a squash casserole leaf and flower as well as Elegans . Third went to a sport of whirlwind.
