Storm broke Sally Holmes so I'm rooting cuttings from the broken cane

Just back from a vacay and all my citrus and roses look pretty good... except a storm broke a good cane from Sally Holmes.

It broke off at a really good spot tho... right above a bud eye:

I wouldn't have pruned it this way on purpose, but it will actually look pretty good. It still has nice branching, since I'm trying to grow it into a self supporting "tree." Broken cane is the one right in front (pointed down). ;)

So I just trimmed the broken cane and turned it into two cuttings for rooting. Not sure when it happened, but it still seems like it will make good cuttings to root.

So hopefully I will have 2 more Sally Holmes soon. Let see what happens. They're now in my propogation bed next to a few other cuttings. I didn't trim off their leaves yet. But here are my (hopefully) new Sally Holmes babies.
