How many pets do you have? How many is 'too many'?
Comments (102)i lost my senior great dane girl 5 weeks ago to bone cancer. it was sudden and shocking and i still look for her. my remaining dane girl and eden were joined at the hip, pip took the loss very hard and had been grieving so much, it broke my heart. i contacted pip's breeder and one of her former co-owners and asked that they keep an eye out for any adults that any breeder friends might be considering a new home for (retired show dogs, etc.). the co-owner gave me the contact information for one of her people who had a dane boy she had been looking for just the right home for and the rest is history. meet "flighty foto my way", call name "frank". frank will be 4 years old on 5/31. he is a very sweet boy and he and pippin hit it off immediately at our meet 'n' greet friday. they do zoomies numerous times a day, sleep curled up together and are just a perfect pair. pippin is so much happier and that makes me happier. even though i miss eden terribly, i am beginning to heal now that pip is feeling better. frank is a bit on the thin side because he lived the last 4 weeks with a female dane who was going through a heat cycle and when that's going on, intact males ignore food, do a lot of pacing and fretting and routinely lose weight. he's eating like a horse so i'm confident he will gain and be back to his normal weight soon. i'm giving him a few weeks to settle in and then i'll make an appointment to have him neutered....See MoreHow Many Mistakes Can be made in One Home?
Comments (16)The build is complete. I take delivery in 7 days. I can tell that the supervisor has absolutely no desire to make this fix because he'll need to call in the electrician, carpet crew, plumber and redo all the dry wall. The closet wraps around the garden bath so a lot of plumbing runs through the area. He said the correction will take several days He WILL fix it. He has already said as much. But he is hoping for a much more expedient workaround. His justification is that the added shelving units greatly increases the storage space over the lost portion of the closet. But, obviously, I can put in shelving at almost no cost any time I choose. So his fix saves him significant time and money, but does nothing for me as I could easily add those shelves myself. That is why I considered the paint or shelves and garage door opener. He still saves time/money, and I save increased time/money....See MoreGranite choice mistake - too busy?
Comments (56)We do love it now that everything is complete and we are back to cooking in the kitchen. Choosing the back splash was the most difficult decision. I ordered samples from Ann Sacks, Walker Zanger, online tile stores and spent weekends visiting other specialty tile stores in Miami. Nothing seemed to fit right with our âÂÂbusy graniteâÂÂ. My husband found the tile at Home Depot of all places. The color is arctic ice. The cabinet hardware was purchased online at Kitchen-Cabinet-Hardware.com 26201-G10 (3 inch) and 9362-G10 (5 inch). We also thought the euro pulls may be too much and are very happy with the quality of these. I believe you can also get these steel bow pulls at Home Depot as a special order but they did not have the 3 inch size we needed for our smaller drawers. Again, this forum helped me so much when planning the renovation and second guessing myself every step of the way. Thanks to all who contribute and take the time to post constructive advice and comments!! Happy New Year!...See MoreYikes I see so many white kitchens! Am I making a mistake?
Comments (68)PineBaron I'm with your DW on white or really dark, but I've had the white (although not my first choice at the moment) and gonna go for the really dark. Glad to hear I have a buddy in the process :) Sounds like you have a similar color scheme and other ideas I'm going for. I don't know why it makes me feel good to know that I'm not out in lala land with my ideas. lol omg i just clicked on the link! are you kidding me. that is gorgeous property, view, home! Loveit! the interior, the kitchen is what i envision on a smaller scale. I even have several sizes of that long bar hardware pictured in your kitchen drawing. Love the stacked cabinets . May I ask how tall those cabinets are stacked? such a cool look. Just wondering if there is a rule for stacking sizes? I like it when the bottom one is still somewhat tall then the top more of a square. Not sure if I have the ceiling height, but looks like you will! Living room, bathroom love. wow thanks for sharing all the pics. i'm gonna go read the whole thread and I'll be following you! good luck your blessed to have all that, enjoy! thanks again for sharing :)...See More- 9 years ago
