Comments (8)That's great, mine quit blooming even though they are outside most of the time. I think the lights are around the base to keep the plants warm. We do that in zones that are supposed to be warm but may have a freeze. I keep my lights handy and even put rolled up balls of them under the sheets I use to cover plants when a freeze is expected....See MoreMerry Christmas and Happy Holidays
Comments (4)Thanks everyone. The little tree is a palm seed frond, if that's what you call it. I've had the idea for years to use these dried seed fronds as Christmas trees because of their shape and finally did it this year. I glued little blue glitter stars to the tip of each branch and decorated with found bits and pieces of shells and coral picked up on our local beach. Bought the star fish though in a little shell shop that has been in the same place since the 1950's. Merry Christmas to all and a great 2008. FlowerLady...See MoreMerry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Comments (10)That is really something about the Judean Date palm and I hope to find out more about it. Hope its been a joyous Christmas for all as our palms are protected. There's going to be a Noreaster tomorrow night along the mid-northeatern coast I heard. We shall see soon:) The inclusive agrument becomes silly to include an bunch of non-related holidays. My African friends from Nigeria say it is not even a real holiday in Africa but a harvest. They celebrate Jesus and not the harvest. Hanukah is truly related because Jesus was Jewish and celebrated it in the New Testament. It was called the feast of lights he attended. Plus its a Biblical holiday season for Jewish people and Christians. Well enough theology for now:)...See MoreVaporvac Z6-OhioRiverValley
