Hi all... I replied to a message I recieved in my email and I thought the reply would be posted on this board, but I see it is not here. If it does turn up, forgive the double post..... "Gosh I had no idea that this (my original post) would cause a bit of "fuss" if I can use that word and no one gets upset. I just thought that a swap might be done, (and) that it was not too early to "think" about doing it and would host no problem becasue I had the time. Someone else suggested I might want to take over another persons. Let me say I am not looking to step on any ones toes, and certainly would rather start "my own" if it takes the hassel out of things, so to speak due to my original posting. I just kinda feel if there are folks that want to think about doing a swap now, and want to swap with me and others that I would host, because I am retired and have the time. Nancy. PS... I might add I don't look at this as being "my own", it is just a figure of speech. I am happy to join a swap, if some one else wants to host it. Or I can put in the time and do it. It really makes no difference to me. I don't think there should be any feelings of toes being stepped on or hurt feelings. We are not children right? If someone has shown they are responsibe and can do this fine, if however another person starts one, a person should not be offended. At some point in our lives we all want to "step up and be noticed" I think in one way or another. And this is a way for some folks to have that notice, and there is nothing wrong with that. The thing that is honorable in the effort, is the "carring it thru to the end (or till the seeds come up.. hee hee..)", not many of us can do that. So, as far as I am concerned... I have seeds and if there is a round robin, called Winter sow or "put it in the ground and grow it"... I don't much care. I am simply interested in a swap. Have a nice day all.

Special Agent is a very broad term. It applies to anyone working for a Federal Government agency who has the people to arrest those who are in violation of his agencies area of investigation or concern. A food inspector may be a federal agent. Like the guy who comes around looking for roaches in the local diner's kitchen. I had an Indian friend who could carry the title and be armed because he was a liaison for his tribe and the US government. Anyone who is employed in federal intelligence is a Secret Agent. In Philips case I believe he sat behind a 'puter doing employee background check. That would make him a "secret" agent but in a broad use of the term. LOL Phillip is using the term and making waves with it because most people envision James Bond when they hear the term. LOL

"It's funny how editing gives us impressions that have nothing to do with the real person." Well, you've sort of edited their biographies to give the edge to Parvati. Of course, I'm going by the bios that are posted on the CBS/Survivor web site... Nowhere does it say that Amanda "left school at 16 to model and 'beauty queen'" -- it says that "She began modeling in Chicago at the age of 16 where she lived on her own for one year." Do you also assume that child actors don't get an education because they're on the set every day? And, plenty of people "put themselves through school." It's called working to earn the money to pay your own tuition and buy your own books, pay your rent, etc., etc. My husband put himself through college AND law school (and passed the most difficult Bar exam in the US -- the California Bar exam -- the first and only time he took it). She most recently worked as a hiking tour guide and continues to hone her skills as an artist while learning about the fashion industry. She placed as a semi-finalist and was given a key to the city and was heavily promoted on billboards and in news articles. While promoting tourism via these pageants, she did volunteer work at orphanages and other organizations and was also permitted to fly kites off the Great Wall in five inch heels. Kimmel's hobbies include hiking, designing, drawing and painting. She enjoys rock climbing, snowshoeing, kickboxing and volleyball. Kimmel describes herself as motivated, competitive and determined. She has camped every weekend in Montana since she was three years old. She tries never to leave home without her cowboy boots. Her birth date is August 3, 1984. Parvati Shallow Parvati Shallow grew up the eldest of three siblings on a commune in Vero Beach, Florida. She and her family moved to Atlanta when she was 11 years old. Shallow put herself through college, attending the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with minors in French and Italian. While in college, she was an active member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and is a huge Bulldog fan! A nature lover at heart, Shallow has spent extensive amounts of time camping and hiking through North America's state parks including the Tetons and Yellowstone. While in college, she organized a two-month backpacking trip through Europe where she and two friends visited 13 countries, sleeping in youth hostels, train stations, on beaches and park benches. Shallow's favorites include good sushi, wearing oversized jerseys, karaoke and cheering on "The Dawgs." She is also training for triathlons with her mom, Gale. Shallow has found her niche with the Los Angeles boxing community and began competing in 2004. She and some fellow boxers have parlayed her passion for the sport into the creation of a non-profit organization titled "Knockouts for Girls," a charity that provides scholarships and boxing lessons for underprivileged girls. The organization recently held their first fundraising event that included boxing matches and a fashion show. Having been a huge success, she will be boxing at a second fundraiser in February, 2008. Ace has a phoney-baloney accent! Besides, he's just plain creepy, Flamey! Ever see the looks he gives people? Gotta love that CBS edit'ing, eh? LOL! DH and I have watched Survivor each and every season. It is one of our favorite shows and Thursday evening has become 'date night' for us. Tonight's menu is tossed green salad, rotini pasta with sausage and broccoli rabe, garlic bread, and cherry pie. (DH's favorite dessert). Enjoy! Dee
