Need simple remote viewer

Hi all, I have a friend who lives some distance away and from time to time needs my limited help with his laptop. Is there a simple ( FREE ) remote view that he and I can use so I don't have to run over , but can do from my home to his ??

I have used team viewer for years and have fixed pc problems all over the world. I even open notepad so the other person can answer questions or tell me about the problem however the chat must be kept brief, works better that way.

lucy you should be alec baldwins daughter... to say "whatever" makes you a rude, thoughtless little pig. I like the article. Thanks for taking the time to put this together. i bought a couple of these on ebay to use in my walk in terrarium and they work wonderfully. one is for reg heat and other is for backup.

Bottom Right of the regular TeamViewer window has a right facing arrow... click that... sign into teamviewer or make yourself a new account so that every time you start teamviewer you automatically log in. Then you can select add remote computer with her id number... and you see her start her teamviewer you can right click her name and choose Remote Control and it will ask her for her confirmation that its OK. Or you can add a secret password to her teamviewer for remote access, but the prompt for access so simple.

Simple Laundry Area Update

Someone just asked on another thread about the stainless steel laundry sink. I did lots of research before finding the sink. It is AmericanSink a/k/a Lenova SS-LA-01. 12" deep. Top or undermount. We got it directly from the company, ebay seller kitchenbath4u. They are in the Chicago area. Astoundingly low price, great quality. We are very happy with it. Topmount important tip: Plan to have countertop under the faucet area of the sink so the faucet goes through both sink and countertop for stability.

Team Viewer is the only free one I see recommended. That's a good tip about using Notepad.

Another vote for Team Viewer, it's easy to use and it works very well. For communication, I have either a Skype call or a phone call active during the session. If using Skype, there can be a bit of feedback or sound bounce back between the two PCs so it's best to keep the volume low or use headphones.
