how long for a photo to show up in the Gallery?
Comments (5)GG - if it's a photo from a site you store your photos on, it should be/stay there until you take it off the site. If it's one you uploaded, it should be there permenantly. However, GW does limit the size of photos they will upload. So check that out. Denise in Omaha...See MorePaint color for long narrow hallway
Comments (8)I have a tunnel hallway also. It used to be kind of dark because the old wallpaper's background had beige in it. Now we have white beadboard on the bottom and the walls are painted in SW Tealight. It's an extremely light, pale yellow, and the difference in light, especially in the daytime is wonderful! We have a beige color in our LR, and to be honest, it can be dark at times even with the sun shining in. What color is the rest of your house?...See MoreSuggestions for how to deal with a very long, narrow hallway?
Comments (9)I once had a very long, dark, narrow hallway I loved. Our first real home, half of a mission-style duplex in Hollywood. All bedrooms opened off it and had windows to the south, so THEY were beautifully sunny. It jogged at one end to the bath, so views toward both ends were of blank walls. We were such poor kids that I focused every cent on the rest of the unit and did absolutely nothing in the hall, literally the original bare bulb on the ceiling as the only detail. Not that I'm recommending that, but the cool quiet (wall-to-wall in this days) "minimalism" set off all the sunny prettily decorated other rooms extremely well and, not least vice versa. It made a pleasurable transition because it was so different, and I even sat down in there now and then just to enjoy its special quiet-far from the busy life everywhere else inside and outside on the street. All a way of leading up to the idea: could your hall be developed to serve as a wonderful complement to the rooms that open off it?...See MoreLong Wide Hallway - How To Decorate? PICS
Comments (7)What about adding some wainscoting and runners to help fill the space like this area. I like how they placed the vase and books on the console table. The photos don't have to be of your family, they could just be scenes that you like. A set of photos (think places you've traveled, places you like -all in black and white addes a touch or formality since you'll see it from your living room.
