I hope your dream comes true very soon...and cannot wait to see pics of your home too! =) I have enjoyed hearing about this Beadboard Wallpaper. I am wondering if those of you who have used it think it will withstand the MAJOR moisture of our 2 young sons' bathroom??? Is this paintable so it can be sealed? I am worrying what the spattering and running drips of water near the pedestal sink will do to it over time if not 'sealed' with paint???? I am still curious about the 'rules' in my initial question as well as these points about beadboard wallpaper. Thanks for the input =)

I think you are going to have to decide which walls you want to keep with brick look, then do a board and batton treatment and/or Sheetrock covering on other brick surfaces. It’s just way too much brick. What style is outside of the house. The ceilings look low so a B&B wall treatment with vertical Barton’s would help visually lift the ceiling. Lots of great ways to moderate the amount and look of the brick. Probably some cool combo is in order. BUT plan major adjoining rooms out in a master plan so everything works together. So, my sister and I planned a hiking vacation in August, but last month we both decided to cancel for various reasons. Then, friends who recently downsized generously gave me their very nice but very dirty gas grill. I was going to purchase a much smaller one, but I decided to clean the one they gave me (a few dirty hours of my time that I hope never to do again ), and when I priced what their grill cost new vs. my cleaning supplies, I saved myself $1500. Mind you, had I decided to forego the cleaning and just buy one, I would not have spent $1500. But in my mental gymnastics, those 2 decisions mean I just saved about $4k.
