Question for the "I'll Show You Mine, If You Show Me Yours" Crowd

I've mentioned before that I make jewelry. One of my product lines are miniature paintings not much larger than a quarter that I make into pendants which eventually become the focals for necklaces. My subjects are mostly animals and flowers.

After seeing the many gorgeous photos posted in the daily "I'll Show You Mine..." threads, I was wondering if the photographers would be willing to give me permission to use their photos for my paintings. I'm not quite sure how to go about it though.

It's not my intention to put anyone on the spot publicly, but I'm not sure of the etiquette of private messaging here or if it's even possible to send private messages. I suppose if people are comfortable with it, they could say 'yes' or 'no' here on this post. If they'd rather keep it private, I understand that too. Or, there is always the option of ignoring this message. If any of you have suggestions on a better way, please feel free to post it.

So that the photographers can see what type of work I do, I have posted a few examples below to help you decide how you feel about your pictures being used as a source of material for my paintings:

I thank you all for considering my request and apologize if I have overstepped my bounds. I've been thinking about this lately and it was the bird photos this morning that pushed me over the edge!
