I too had this problem with an expensive Kenmore Elite but I decided not to let it bother me. I fill one powder dispenser and leave it open and make sure I have the Jet Dry department always filled. I never observed a lack of top notch cleaning after that, but I did give it to Habitat for Humanity when I got the top of the line Thermador (made by Bosch). The Thermadors and Bosch's are far better than the Miele's at their price points and they are at least as quiet as the best Miele's, which cost $1K more. Greg

Hi all - so far so good! A few things I've noticed: There are a LOT of choices in terms of which burner to use. Knew that of course going in, but will take some time to figure out what best meets my needs when cooking. The PowR burner in the main oven (circular gas flame) makes a kind of high pitched noise as it's starting up. Since the burner cycles on and off, the noise happens pretty frequently in a baking cycle. (Doesn't bother me, but FYI). The knobs do get a little hot when you've got the oven(s) cranking. Oven doors however, do not get hot. One of my burners has about 4 holes that didn't get drilled so not fully lighting. Will notify BlueStar about that. Also the handle on the convection oven is not level. Performance: I LOVE the simmer burner. I can't believe how low that thing can get. Great for keeping sides warm as I'm finishing up other dishes. Oven seems to run a little hot. Used an oven thermometer last night to gauge it - had my knob set to 350 and it went up to 450 and then came down from there. Fair warning - I may also need a new oven thermometer. Used the griddle for pancakes this weekend. Worked beautifully - only downside is the weight - WHOA those things are heavy. Also, I may not have totally figured this out yet, but there are two square opens caddy corner of each other on the griddle. My worry is that if you were making bacon or something on the griddle, the grease would drip underneath directly onto the gas flame. There is a "grease diverter" to use for when you are using the charbroiler, but it doesn't say to use it for the griddle. Will likely just ask dealer about that as well. Haven't baked a cake or anything in there yet, but looking forward to doing more of that once we actually have kitchen countertops! Oh and clean up seems pretty easy - everything will fall under drip trays which easily pull out (I did put a layer of aluminum on there for ease) and then just a little scrub of the cast iron and light oiling every once in a while seems like it will do the trick. Hardest part again is how heavy things are - but I could use some more upper body strength! Will try to get more pics this weekend and upload then.

Okay. I'm in the same boat. My daughter is almost 3 and has been in a twin bed for 3 months. There are nights that she does pretty well with staying in bed. I assume it's from being so tired. And there are nights when I have to go back in about 2 or 3 times within the hour. But, last night was the worst. I don't think she slept at all. We did the usual routine - bath, stories, prayer, lights out (except for night light). I won't leave the door open at all cuz I know she will come out for sure. Usually she will get up and just sit against the wall next to her door and cry. Then, I or my husband will go in and put her back in bed. We usually ask if something scared or or ask what is wrong. She never answers. But, last night was a lot different. Last night my husband went in and put her back in bed. He left her room and she was quiet. That was around 8:15. Then around 9:30 I went in to check on her and couldn't get her door open. She had gotten back out of bed and sat against the wall next to her door and fell asleep sitting up. Her legs were blocking the door. I had to use the door to nudge her awake so that I could get her back in bed. After that she was up all night and so was I. She would not stay in bed at all. I tried making her a pallet on the floor in my room and she just lied there for over an hour eyes wide open. So, I put her back in her bed. She asked for the door to be left open. I agreed but told her she has to stay in bed or the door will be closed. This time I left the door open just a crack. I don't know what time she got up next I just know she did. I don't even know exactly how many times she got out of bed. I stopped counting and stopped looking at the clock. Until about 4:30 this morning. I had enough. I grabbed her and put her back in bed without a word from my mouth. I was livid. Then around 6:15 I went in to wake her to get her ready for the sitter. She was so exhausted and wouldn't let me put her down. I don't know what else to do to get her to stay in bed. I've tried the treats. That worked for about 2 weeks. I don't want her losing sleep like that anymore. And I can't afford to lose it either. I'm an insulin dependent diabetic and loss of sleep makes my sugars spike very high the next day. What else can I do?

gscience, I just remembered your kitchen -- you have the blue Big Chill, right? I really like your kitchen and I see why you want a table like this one. It would fit your kitchen style really well; it's probably the closest thing to chrome dinette that you can get in wood. :) I am not getting into the chrome vs wood debate (I think they'd both work in your space) but I don't know how easy it is to find a chrome one that will seat 8 like this one; maybe that will help the decision. Or I know -- you can buy my old oak one (cheap!) and that'll force me to make a decision on a table for us. [big grin] [very very off topic] How are you liking the Big Chill? Were you able to see one in person before buying? We won't need a new fridge for a while longer (I hope), but I like the idea of a standalone fridge that doesn't need a fridge cabinet, and the Big Chills are pretty cool (sorry for pun...).
