Comments (4)Do you have any ideas as to what she enjoys? Does she play with a lot of dolls, if so maybe some doll clothes or other accessories. Maybe some fun educational games--either a computer game or just a board game. Stuffed animal Dress up clothes Movie tickets--if she hasn't seen something like Monster's Inc.--?? Favorite video and some favorite snacks...See MoreWhat do you suggest as gift for 7-year-old boy that's about $12?
Comments (16)My great nephew loves to draw, and he's very good. Cranyons, colored pencils, markers, craft paper. Another great nephew loves board games. I think he and I played 50 games of Trouble in a 2 day period. He loved it. I loved it. I think any game that has you giving kids your time and attention they will love. I have also given them light up things to put on the handlebars of their bikes, ugh, don't know what they are called. You slide them onto the two ends of the handbars. For example http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bicycle-LED-Fiber-Optic-Handlebar-Light-Streamers-Light-Up-Your-Handlebars-/290731981877 Here's a site with all sorts of light up stuff for kids http://coolglow.com/~/?feature=LED+Light-Up&gclid=Cj0KEQiAp4yjBRCE_enjmpug944BEiQATCpLvSTrRmUtPzO3ZFfP2fb20WIS3V5sV8V1BspF59ARy1waAlQ-8P8HAQ#...See MoreNeed gift suggestions for 13-to-18-year-olds
Comments (8)It's a good idea this year NOT to buy gift cards to specific stores. There's really no way of knowing which ones will still be around in January. I don't think a gift card is really the right way to go for the kind of situation you describe, but if you do feel that's the best choice, get a MALL gift card--that way, it can be used in any store, for clothes, books, music, etc, and all the stores in any given mall are unlikely to go out of business. For kids that age--if you can get an idea of sizes, casual clothes are always good. A winter coat might be needed and appreciated. Girls--maybe a craft kit to make jewelry or something else sparkly, or any bath, body, nail, make-up stuff is generally up their alley. Boys--sporting goods. Books, if you think they'd enjoy them, although picking books for kids you don't know is a challenge. Would you be allowed to buy tickets to a play, concert or sporting event and take them yourself? That would be an awesome gift, but it might not be possible in the situation. Of course, if you can find out what each child's specifically interested in, you'll be home free--much easier, if you can get that info somehow. And thanks for taking an interest and helping someone who surely needs someone who cares....See MoreBooks for 10 year-old-girl
Comments (34)I just loved the box car chilren when i was a kid. i know you asked for series, but Holes and how to eat fried worms are both great books to read. if she likes a mystery, 'The Cat who....' books might not be too far beyond her reach. I read the original Tarzan books at that age and was captivated. as well as nacy drew and the hardy boys. also the series about budding astronauts "Tom ???" after that i slid into Narnia, and then the lord of the rings. Horatio Hornblower would be great, (but O'brian's Master and Commander series was a heavy, but wonderful read for me this past year) I also remember a series about a boy named henry, he as always in trouble(or was it a Homer?) diggerb...See Morelaughablemoments
