I can't comment on that, but one thing I'd strongly suggest is eliminating the double doors into the bath. When you open a door to a bathroom, you want to be able to immediately turn on the lights. How will you turn on the lights if you have double doors?

Personally, I'd also move the door down so it's nearer the shower. This will give you more wall space on that wall and put your bathroom door closer to your walk in closets. It also appears like you're planning on putting the bed between the two windows and if you are, that will help the person who's on the right side of the bed if they have to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. It doesn't mean having to walk completely around the bed to get to the loo.

If you really like the double doors you can have a motion activated light that the doors would likely trigger or you can have a switch for the bathroom in the bedroom near the doors. There are options! That said, you have a lot of water lines (2 sinks, shower, and a toilet) that are in an exterior wall (unless you're bringing them up from a basement), not to mention a view of the toilet from the bed and entry area of the master bed (I prefer not seeing the toilet), so I'd probably rework the space and flip the toilet to the opposite wall, change the entrance of the shower, and replace the double door w/a pocket and flank it w/two sinks. Depending on your view you can add a nice window to bring in some natural light, a nice light fixture centered in the room, and have a generous sized credenza or makeup vanity along that exterior wall. If that was my bathroom, I would probably measure the distance between the edge of the window and the edge of the wall. I'd take 2/3 of that distance, buy two mirrors (similar styles, but one masculine and one feminine, because I'm weird that way) that are as close to that measurement as possible without going over, and center each above its respective sink.

But I am *not* an interior designer, nor do I play one on TV, so I could totally have it all wrong. :-D

cpartist. Double doors have been eliminated based on previous feedback! It is still framed for the double door, so we are either going to do a barn door slider or shrink the door and move it towards the shower as suggested.

Dame. I like that approach. I forgot to mention the window centered on the vanity is 24" x 36" at a 6'8" upper sash height. So I would think I would want the mirrors a different size from that.

No art or decorative shelves under the window? :-)

What is the wall height? I'd say have the mirrors slightly shorter than the window height if you want the window to be the focal point as you enter the space? May not want to have the mirrors and windows competing...

Mike/chisue, I ended up framing the recess 22" x 34" slightly down from the top of the window. With a 24x36 mirror it will still leave plenty of room for a back splash framing for the mirror and fits the space well. And I misspoke earlier, the window is 18" x 36"!

I misunderstood, thinking you had space for cabinets behind hinged mirrors. (Mine are over pedestal sinks -- provide space for 'stuff' at eye level, not in vanity cabinets.)

You could also change the doors to swing into the room.
