How do I remove pencil from the wall?
Comments (5)Wow, thanks for the idea for cooktop cleaner. I used Weiman Glass Cook Top cleaner and it worked like a charm! Took off my granddaughter's pencil coloring on our front hall wall. Followed with a light wipe with Mr. Clean Magic eraser and then clear water. All gone, thank goodness!...See MoreHow to remove plaster from interior stone wall?
Comments (2)Doing so will open up a very drafty, quirky(in a bad way) and dirty (inexhaustible source of dust and grit) surface that was not intended to be showcased. If the plaster needs to come off in part to get new plaster to bond (undo previous poor repairs), that's one thing. You have no idea what you may be getting into. Comments (6)UGHHHHH ... What is wrong with people, why do they do that! If plaster is bad enough to drywall instead of repair theplaster, then its bad enough to REMOVE COMPLETELY. Should be easy if its that bad of condition. If its stuck on tight and cant be removed - then just fix the dang plaster! Futzing w/ new trim ... that could be expensive too if you get something milled to be similar to what you have... youd have to build out the windows/doors as well to get the trim to be on top of the drywall. Id almost be tempted to remove the drywall and do it right It is possible to do drywall patches , even quite large depending on the extent of the damage, and not have to remove the trim. But Im afraid it would still be a beast of a job. Sorry Im not much help - you have my sympathies....See MoreHow do I remove kitchen wall cabinets
Comments (7)Thank you for that. Yes, there was a screw behind each hinge. With these removed, the cabinet is slightly loose at the end where I removed the screws, but I still can't see how to remove it from the wall. The free end of the cabinet (i.e the end that does not join onto another cabinet) still seems firmly fixed to the wall, but I can't see how. There are no obvious screw heads or similar. Thanks for any further advice - Rowan...See Morekudzu9
